This practice report is based on the famous TED classic series of speeches "Victory out of Defeat" as the material for the simulation of English-Chinese consecutive interpretation practice.Eight successful speakers from different industries use their life experiences to explain how to learn from failure and take the road to success. This practice report is composed of four parts: interpretation task description, interpretation task process, interpretation practice case analyses and interpretation practice summary,of which the third chapter is the focus of the report. In order to solve the problem of omission interpretation, the writer adopts the method of situational context. For the problem of misinterpretation, the writer adopts the method of linguistic context. For the problem of redundancy in target language, the writer adopts the methods of ellipsis interpretation and class shift. It is hoped that this practice report can provide some practice references for fellow interpreters.
