With the economic globalization and the increasing international status of China,Chinese has become an important way for countries to understand China. So far, hundreds of countries and regions have set up nearly 1,000 “Confucius Institutes” and“Confucius Classrooms” for foreigners to learn Chinese. At the same time, there are also many foreign friends who choose to come directly to China to study Chinese. In the process of learning, they try hard to speak and write Chinese characters and explore Chinese culture. But there are few studies on whether these students know enough about Chinese culture, but few studies on cross-cultural identity of foreign students from a designated country.Take Korea as an example,in the traditional sense, most people might think that China and Korea are very close to each other in location,so the Korean people and the Chinse people are not very different from each other in every respect,in other word, most people will think that Korean students will sonn adapt to the Chinse culture and their identity when they come to China,so there is no real scientific investigation of Korean students' sense of identity in a cross-cultural environment. What is the status of Korean sudents' identification with Chinses culture? In response to this problem, the author takes Liaoning normal University as an example, makes a survey of Korean students from Liaoning normal University, adopts a standardized questionnaire of Professor Zhu Minwen from Beijing Foreign Language University, combined with face-to-face interview in order to carry out an investigation on their cross-cultural identity. The survey found that there are obvious cultural differences between China and Korea in terms of linguisitic, cultural ethnic groups and value identity. And it's these differences that have a great influence on the cross-cultural identity of Korean students,or even become obstacles to their study and life. For example, the survey found that most Korean students have a higher cross-cultural identity in terms of linguisitic, ethnic and values, but some students still have a low cross-cultural identity due to various factors. On the other hand, the cross-cultural identity of all the interviewee students is relatively low, which is a problem worthy of attention. On the basis of the connotation of cross-cultural commmunication theory, the paper makes a scientific inquiry of the cross-cultrual identity of Korean students in the cross-cultural environment in China, analyzes the influence of cross-cultural identity on the cross-cultrual communication life of Korean students and put forward corresponding suggestons so as to fill the research gap in this area. The author hopes that through this article, the teachers of Chinese as a foreign language will attach importance to the cross-cultural identity of foreign students,at the same time,it pointed out that it is necessary to improve the sense of recognition of foreign students in order to promote better cross-cultural communication through various ways.
