| Culture, as a kind of power, strengthens one's country's affection through the attraction and appeal of cultural tradition, ideology, values, etc. So, it can be called a country's "soft power". Culture is the mental support of a nation. Language is a special medium of culture. In modern times, the form of hegemony status of English is a kind of severe threat to the variety of world language and culture. So, this paper drew the theory of eco-linguistics to elucidate the weak language must carry forward one's nation's language to avoid being appropriated by the strong language.Undeniably, as the much exportation of western culture, the national flavor and characteristics of our country's traditional culture is undermined day by day. The developed countries can achieve their goal through "soft power" and "culture exportation", and why developing countries strengthen their national culture by these two magic weapons. On this vital time, how the speakers of cross-culture behave their culture identity is an accelerator of enlarging national affection.This paper is aimed to explore how the people in the state of cross-culture communication demonstrate their national cultural identity purposely, and we regard it as a communication strategy. This strategy is called "national culture identity strategy". This strategy is raised to avoid emphasizing the understanding and acknowledgment of alien culture excessively, while neglecting the mother culture's defence and spread, leading to the mother culture in the dangerous position of being edged. To expound this proposition, the paper will explain how the national culture identity is shown through the aspects of national values, speech sounds, words and phrases, syntax and discourse. The paper also showed that some kind of communicational failures that were regarded as being avoided were actually good chances of displaying one's national culture in certain circumstances. |
