Research on coastal defense in the early Ming dynasty is one of the hot topics in academic community.It is of great significance to elaborate the background of the coastal defense,the views and measures of coastal defense in the early Ming dynasty,and deeply analyze the system and influence of coastal defense,enrich the academic achievements of maritime history and enlighten the current construction of coastal defense in the early Ming dynasty.Through consult literature,case analysis and comparative analysis,it is not difficult to find that the ability coastal defense in the early Ming dynasty was gradually developed under the combined action of internal and external factors.At the end of yuan dynasty,the coastal areas were threatened and attacked by Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates.In this context,each class of the society in the early Ming dynasty showed different concepts of coastal defense.In the early stage of Hongwu,Zhu Yuanzhang adopted active coastal defense policy and quickly established an effective defense system.However,with the deepening of the influence of feudal thoughts,the coastal defense policy turned into passive defense in the later period of Hongwu.In Yongle period,under the condition of economic development and Zhu Di’s positive coastal defense policy to stabilize the regime,the coastal defense construction in Yongle period was more complete than that in Hongwu period.According to the situation of coastal defense,the group of ministers also proposed corresponding solutions,such as building cities and building ships,which increased the coastal defense forces in the early Ming dynasty.In order to strengthen the strength of coastal defense,the Ming dynasty set up such military institutions and military power as guard stations,water camps and navies.Through the above measures,the Ming dynasty established a complete set of coastal defense system in the years of Hongwu and Yongle,and formed a matureview of coastal defense.At the beginning of Ming dynasty,coastal defense maintained the stability of marine order and promoted the development of coastal trade.On the other hand,due to the restriction of the maritime prohibition policy and the conservative coastal defense policy,the coastal defense of the early Ming dynasty became more and more passive,which laid a foreland for the deterioration of the whole coastal defense situation of the Ming dynasty. |
