Literacy of International Understanding is a kind of quality and ability that understand international challenges,international culture and international connections,which means you can acknowledge and carry forward local culture,respect and understand different culture and know significant problems of international organizations.In addition,the ability of information processing,inter-cultural communication and cooperative problem-solving is included.Under the background of globalization,the cultivation of literacy of international understanding is accord with policy requirements and the social development.Taking the factor that the critical period of cultivation is senior high school and English curriculum is the main carrier into consideration,the paper explores the methods of cultivation of literacy of international understanding based on English curriculum,which can not only enrich theoretical study of Education for International Understanding,but also instruct teaching process effectively.Through analyzing Senior English for China of PEP edition,CNP edition and Oxford edition with the method of literature survey and text analysis,the paper explores the aim,the content design,the implementation strategy and the evaluation principles and measure of the cultivation of international understanding literacy,which follows the clue that is curriculum aim,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation.To be concrete,in the first part,the connotation,the structure and the feature of the literacy of international understanding of senior high students are identified in the method of literature review combined with the law of somatopsychic development of senior high students,which is the basis of future research.In the second part,based on National English Curriculum Standards for Common Senior High school,the aim of cultivation is analyzed from the perspective of developing curriculum core literacy,establishing sound value and cultivating cosmopolite,the connotation,value and reflection of which in National English Curriculum Standards for Common Senior High school are shown as well.In the third part,the content design of cultivation is concluded from the perspective of conception,content topic and content presentation by the way of text analysis ofthree editions of Senior English for China.To sum up,the content design of cultivation through English curriculum should be structured,student-based and activation.In addition,the proportion of international challenges,international culture and international connections in human and self,human and society,human and nature parts should be balanced.To be concrete,health,population and development,war and peace content in the area of international challenges,science,customs and etiquettes,nationalities and religions in the area of international culture and population mobility,cultural exchange,international economics and trade,international competition and collaboration in the area of international connections should be increased.At last but not least,the organization of knowledge should be in various way,of abundant category and wide extent.And the organization of activity should be combined with skill training,balanced in autonomous inquiry and cooperative inquiry and presented in flexible way.In the fourth part,based on the connotation and aim of cultivation and the implementation suggestion in National English Curriculum Standards for Common Senior High school,the paper ascribes the implementation measures of cultivation into cognitive strategy of international understanding,internalization strategy of international understanding and explicit strategy of international understanding,which is analyzed by specific examples.To be concrete,cognitive strategy of international understanding means making full use of curriculum to motivate students,integrating teaching content,guiding students properly and designing task-based activity to increase communication.While internalization strategy of international understanding means emphasizing scene experience teaching to achieve emotional resonance,normalizing practice to set a good example.And explicit strategy of international understanding means implementing and combining self and others' evaluation.In the fifth part,the paper points out that the effective evaluation of cultivation have the characteristics of fundamentality,diversity and expansibility.What's more,the content of evaluation is pertinent and the method of evaluation is multiple.As well the process of evaluation is persistent.At last,to support the practicability of evaluation principles and measures in classroom teaching,a specific teaching case is shown.
