How to cultivate the core literacy of high school students' English subject is a confusion often faced in English teaching.Since the 1990 s,this confusion has been widely concerned by English teaching researchers at home and abroad,but it is still unresolved.The "General English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)" promulgated by the Ministry of Education puts forward the basic concept of "cultivating the core literacy of English subjects necessary for students".As the awareness of English subject literacy increases,the focus of high school English teaching is focusing on non-cognitive literacy Promote.Therefore,high school English teaching is no longer a traditional concept that only focuses on the transfer of skills and knowledge.It is more inclined to combine language learning,thinking cognition and quality training closely.This understanding not only shows the importance of core literacy training for high school students in English,but also points out the necessity of exploring core literacy training strategies for high school students in English.Based on this,this study selected 3 English teachers and 109 high school students of a middle school in Yan'an as the research objects,based on the whole person training theory and multiple intelligence theory,adapting literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview method,to investigate the current status of core literacy cultivation of high school students ' English subject from both student and teacher levels,the purpose is to explore the problems and forming factors in the core literacy cultivation of high school students' English subject,and take reading teaching in English teaching as the research point,Put forward the cultivation principles and strategies of high school students' core literacy in English subjects.According to the questionnaire survey,there are the following problems in the current cultivation of core literacy of English subjects in high school students: unclear stress intonation,lack of appropriate language expressions,lack of independent thinking ability,and learning into a passive situation;core literacy training of English subjects in high school students exists some reasons for the problems that are as follows: lack of situational teaching,teachers 'lack of awareness of cultivating students' thinking ability in the classroom,and students 'long-term passive learning habits;finally,taking the explanatory text and narrative as the foothold,and from the teaching objectives,teaching models,teaching activities,assignments' points of view,to promote the perfect integration of language ability,cultural awareness,thinking quality,and learning ability in the core literacy of high school English subjects.This study shows that the comprehensive implementation of English core literacy in actual classroom teaching helps to optimize the English teaching model,by means of creating a good English learning environment,can improve the efficiency of English classroom teaching,and implement the fundamental task of “establishing virtue”.
