The Study Of Gramsci's Cultural Hegemony From The Perspective Of Linguistics

The researching model of linguistics on Gramsci’s cultural hegemony is proved to be effective and important.As soon as the linguistic model is employed on the researching of Gramsci’s cultural hegemony,the domestic academic research will benefit a lot from it on completely understanding the formation of cultural hegemony and actively absorbing the useful elements of cultural hegemony to offer suggestions for the construction of culture and main ideology in China.During the early years in the twentieth century,many factors have made contributions to Gramsci’s conception construction of Cultural Hegemony from the linguistic perspective.Such as the development of modern linguistics study in the western world,the linguistic turn of philosophy,the classical Marxist theories on languages,Gramscis’ s linguistic research and translation practice in his early years,and so on.In the construction of Cultural Hegemony,Gramsci introduces two contradictory linguistic terms,Spontaneous Grammar and Normative Grammar,which not only reflect the organic,dialectical,political structures of his conception of Cultural Hegemony,but also reflect a new linguistic methodology in analyzing and studying political theories.Gramsci’s linguistic method not only enriches and develops the classical Marxist theories in the methodology,but also affects greatly the development of the theories of post-Marxism and those of post-Modernism.Gramsci combines strongly the linguistic methodology and the philosophy of praxis in the political analysis,as symbols the characteristics of practicality,dialecticality and historicality of classical Marxism.Gramsci’s linguistic method in studying social politics enriches and develops the perspectives of linguistics of classical Marxist theories.Moreover,Gramsci’s views on linguistics will do considerable contributions to the language study from a Marxist philosophical perspective and the construction of Marxist ideology in China.
