In the field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,the researches on textbooks are very common.And there are also many researches about textbooks in foreign countries,and the researches of cultural content in textbooks are also an important part.The Chinese textbooks of the Princeton University are also representative native Chinese textbooks.The textbooks have rich and interesting topics,extensive cross-cultural communication field of vision and contents,and also high value of practical and research.These textbooks can be regarded as a guide for intercultural communication of Native American Chinese learners.However,because the language of the textbook is too sharp,part of the contents maybe lead to some misunderstanding or exaggerated for Chinese social culture and sensitivity problem.So the academic rationality for this set of textbooks has been controversial,and even some scholars believe that these series of textbooks are Chinese image of "slander" and "slander".Therefore,these textbooks are not suitable for foreign learners to study.But with the passage of time and the developments of China,the editors of Princeton University series of Chinese textbooks have changed and improved their views,especially in recent years.However,according to the existing data,the research on the controversial images of China in the Chinese Textbooks of Princeton University is still less involved.In this research,the author classifies the contents of China’s controversial images in Princeton Chinese textbook,so as to systematically sort out the controversial images of China in the western world.At the same time,we use the classification method to analyze the controversial image of China in an objective and rational way,and explore the reasons for the attitude change gradient of textbooks.In addition,the author has also designed a questionnaire named "the topic satisfaction survey of the Princeton University’s Chinese textbooks",and then summarized and analyzed the results of the questionnaire,and explore the rationality of teaching contents and ways of expression through intercultural communication perspective,and in view of the results of the analysis of the questionnaire survey,suggestions for the future development of Chinese teaching materials in Princeton University are put forward,like "the content of the textbook is closely related to the pulse of the times and should be updated in time" and "on the basis of keeping a critical view,the perspective of the textbook is diversified and use the dialectical point of view to see the problem".Finally,the author makes suggestions for the problem on the Chinese image content in the native Chinese textbooks,like "Chinese textbook should be integrated into the social and cultural background of the textbook users with the use of the environment,conditions,time","the dialectical introduction and analysis of the Chinese national image can avoid the subjectivism of the views of the textbooks and the extreme national image" and "adhering to Chinese teaching materials always serves Chinese Teaching". |
