On The Role Of Eco-museum In The Protection Of Traditional Villages

Traditional village protection is an important and urgent mission.To protect traditional villages,the first priority is to establish traditional village archives as soon as possible.However,to set up comprehensive document is merely the first step in the traditional village protection.The author traced the origin of ecomuseum and combed the practice of ecomuseum in the world and China.The concept was considered very ideal,and should get promotion and popularization.It may provide inspiration for the career of traditional village protection.In this article,the concept of "ecomuseum" and its related concepts were compared to find the similarities and differences between them.Meanwhile,relationships between the ecomuseum and the new museology,non-material cultural heritage,agricultural heritage,were studied.The author has also visited two ecomuseums in the western region of China,trying to study two concrete cases on the theme of protecting traditional villages in setting up ecomuseums.And to gain some explanation on the open concept "ecomuseum" in this way.
