A Discussion On Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection In Xi'an Combining With The Concept Of Eco-Museum

At the first, this paper briefly describes the development process, the concept of theintangible cultural heritage protections, especially the value constitution regarding withthis historical city Xi'an and its profound significance. The basic concept of culturalspace and the issues of cultural space protection are introduced also. In this discussion,a new concept on intangible cultural heritage protections is put forward, namely theEco-Museum.The paper gives information on the Eco-Museum, such as the idea, the developmentprocess, international cases, and investigation on-the-spot from the author himself.The author describes the real situation of China eco-museum nowadays.After that, the feasibility of taking intangible cultural heritage protections in Xi'an withthe eco-museum form is discussed. The conclusion is theoretically affirmative. With this,the paper put forward a new idea on the intangible cultural heritage protections in Xi'an,which is called "eco-museum on City territory level".On this idea, author gathered and classified the items within city wall under theintangible cultural heritage protections. The analyzing on culture space constitution andthe general planning of eco-museum are discussed also. the planning includes in someimitation on culture space, and the construction of info center.At the conclusion, the paper gives some notions lined next:A. the elements constituting of the culture space.B. the difference between the culture spatial definition and the definition of regular Historic and Cultural Streets and Buildings Protection.C. the info centre of eco-museum should have appropriate operation situation, such as rest and active.D. the eco-museum is totally the Xi'an city itself, and the info centre is the part in city wall, that is what we call eco-museum on City territory level.
