Objective:Knee osteoarthritis has a long natural course, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and causes great pain to patients. At present, modern medicine has difficulties in treating this disease. This study used a prospective single-center randomized parallel controlled trial design to clarify the clinical efficacy and safety of fire acupuncture treatment of mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis, and to provide high-quality evidence-based medical evidence for fire acupuncture treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods:In this study,a total of 60 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis were included, and they were randomly divided into fire acupuncture group and general acupuncture group.Among them,30 patients in the fire-acupuncture group were treated with the fire acupuncture program(He's fire acupuncture);30 patients in the ordinary acupuncture group received ordinary acupuncture treatment. Both groups cooperated with basic health management. The treatment was performed every other day,3 times a week, and the course of treatment was 2 weeks.Subjects followed basic health management recommendations for at least 8 weeks after randomization.Observation evaluation and follow-up were performed before treatment and at week 1,week 2,week 4,and week 8 after enrollment. After statistical analysis, the clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups in the treatment of mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis was evaluated.By comparing the total scores of WOMAC before and after treatment in both groups,as well as the scores of pain, joint stiffness, joint physiological function,OMERACT-OARSI response, and the treatment efficiency of the two groups, the fire acupuncture treatment of mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis was evaluated clinical efficacy; And through the detailed recording of the adverse reactions of the two groups to evaluate the safety of fire acupuncture treatment of mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis.Result:1.From the statistical analysis of the WOMAC scale, the pain, stiffness and Joint Movement disturbance of the patients in the 1st,2nd,4th and 8th Week were relieved, the improvement of stiffness score in the fire acupuncture group was better than that in the ordinary acupuncture group at the first week(P<0.05),at the 2nd,4th and 8th Week, the scores of pain, stiffness and joint movement disturbance in the fire acupuncture group were improved more than those in the ordinary acupuncture Group(P<0.05).2.From the clinical response rate(the evaluation of Omeract and Oarsi Reaction Standard)and the Clinical Curative Effect Statistical Analysis,we know that there is a significant difference between the fire acupuncture group and the general acupuncture group in the total effective rate at 1,4,8 weeks(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in total effective rate between the two groups at the 2nd week(P>0.05).Safety Evaluation:During the study period, there were no acupuncture adverse reactions such as needle sticking, fainting, needle breaking, bending,Hematoma, infection, burn and Scald, skin injury, and other abnormal conditions in the two groups,it is suggested that both groups are safe. Conclusion:The results show that the long-term curative effect of the fire acupuncture group is better than that of the general acupuncture group,it can not only rapidly improve the pain, stiffness and joint dysfunction of patients with knee osteoarthritis, but also has a long-lasting effect.
