| Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the clinical efficacy of treatment with acupuncture andthunder-fire moxibustion of knee osteoarthritis, make an evaluation of its effectiveness and practicalitythrough scientific methods.Method: The research objects were80cases of patients with knee osteoarthritis, and all the patientswere from the affiliated hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine ofacupuncture-moxibustion outpatient and treatment area. All patients were randomly divided into treatmentgroup and control group, each group with40patients. In the treatment group,by the acupuncture andthunder-fire moxibustion, Xuehai, Liangqiu, Yanglingquan, Yinlingquan, Neixiyan, Waixiyan, Heding,Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Ashixue were selected, keeping needle for30min, soon afterwards, Zhao’sthunder-fire moxibustion was used.Treatment of1times a day,7days is a course of treatment,for4consecutive weeks. While in the control group,sodium hyaluronate intra-articular injection was used,injection of1times per week, continuous treatment for4weeks. In the end of treatment, VAS scale andWOMAC index were used as the assessment of curative effect.Result: After the end of treatment by statistical analysis, the total effective rate of the treatment groupand the control group were90%and75%respectively. The result of the acupuncture and thunder-firemoxibustion group was significantly superior to that of sodium hyaluronate intra-articular injection.Conclusion: Through using the methods of acupuncture and thunder-fire moxibustion in thetreatment of knee osteoarthritis, the clinical symptoms of knee pain and stiffness can be effectivelyalleviated, the range of motion increased significantly. And the method has the lasting effect and non-toxicside effects, it is a kind of high practical and scientific treatment. |
