Observation Of The Curative Effect Of Press Needle Combined With Montelukast Sodium In The Treatment Of Children With Allergic Rhinitis And Its Influence On Nasal Resistance

Objective: to evaluate the efficacy,safety and nasal resistance of press needle combined with montelukast sodium chewable tablets in the treatment of persistent allergic rhinitis in children.Methods: Using a randomized controlled clinical trial method,90 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three groups according to a computerized random number list: there were 30 cases in test group(press needle+ medicine group),30 cases in control group I(sham needle + drug group),and 30 cases in control group II(press needle group).The experimental group was treated with press needle plus medicine.The press needle used were disposable needles made by Qingling Company of Japan.The acupoints were Yintang,Yingxiang(double),Hegu(left),Pulmonary acupoints(double)and Zusanli(double).The needle was changed twice a week,each time for 3 days,and treated for 4 weeks for a total of 8 times.The drug was montelukast sodium chewing tablets(Singulair),which was given the corresponding dose according to the age of the children,once a night for 4 weeks.The control group I used the customized false needle without needle core,the selection of acupoints,the operation of acupuncture needle and the drug was the same as the experimental group.The control group II did not use drugs,and the rest was the same as the experimental group.Twenty subjects in each group were randomly selected for nasal resistance test,and the total nasal resistance before and after treatment was recorded,and total nasal symptoms scores(TNSS),total non nasal symptoms scores(TNNSS),symptoms and signs(inferior turbinate swelling)quantitative score tables were recorded before treatment,after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment.Results:(1)there were significant differences in TNSS total score,TNNSS total score,quantitative total score of symptoms and signs and total nasal resistance among the three groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).All of the three groups could effectively improve the symptoms and signs of children with allergic rhinitis.However,from the comparison of the total scores of TNSS and TNNSS among the three groups after treatment,it was found that the improvement of nasal symptoms and their concomitant symptoms in the press needle plus medicine group was better than that in the sham needle plus drug group,and there was no significant difference between the press needle plus medicine group and the press needle group.(2)there was no significant difference in the quantitative total score of symptoms and signs and total nasal resistance among the three groups after treatment(P>0.05),indicating that there was no significant difference in the improvement of symptoms and signs and nasal resistance among the three groups.however,the improvement of conscious nasal congestion in patients with press needle plus medicine is better than that of sham needle plus medicine,and the improvement of press needle plus medicine is equivalent to that of press needle for nasal congestion.(3)there were significant differences in the total scores of TNSS and TNNSS between the three groups before treatment and after follow-up(P<0.05).To some extent,the nasal symptoms and their concomitant symptoms were relieved in all the three groups.However,the total score of TNSS and total score of TNNSS in the three groups showed that the long-term effect of press needle plus medicine group was better than that of sham needle plus medicine group,and there was no significant difference between press needle plus medicine group and press needle group.Conclusion:(1)Press needle plus montelukast sodium chewing tablets can obviously relieve the nose and its concomitant symptoms,improve the physical signs and reduce the total nasal resistance in children with allergic rhinitis.(2)the short-term and long-term efficacy of press needle plus montelukast chewable tablets in the treatment of allergic rhinitis is better than that of sham needles and montelukast chewable tablets.(3)Press needle can significantly reduce the total nasal resistance,improve symptoms and signs,and effectively alleviate the condition of patients with allergic rhinitis.During the period of treatment and follow-up,there are no serious adverse events,and the safety is good,which can be further popularized in clinical use.
