A Comparative Study Of The Effects Of Two Dressings In The Treatment Of Stage 1 And Stage 2 Pressure Injuries

Objective:The research aims at exploring the therapeutic effects and costs of soft silicone foam dressings and hydrogel foam dressings for the treatment of stage 1 and 2 pressure injuries,including outcomes,healing time,the safety of the dressing and epithelial tissue growth condition.And other indicators,then analyze the causes of the differences,compare the therapeutic effect of dressings,provide a reference for clinical rational selection of dressings,to improve the cure rate of clinical pressure injuries,reduce healing time,and reduce medical costs.Methods:A total of 124 patients with stage 1 and 2 pressure injuries in a third-grade class-A hospital from October 2017 to December 2018 in GuiZhou are selected for this research.These patients who meet the criteria are divided into control group and experimental group as the research targets according to the principle of randomization.In the first phase,mepilex group NO.1 is the control group,and hydroTac group NO.1 is the experimental group.While mepilex group NO.2 is the control group and hydroTac group NO.2 is the experimental group in the second-stage pressure injury research.The frequency of dressing change in the experimental group and the control group both is 3?5 days/time.If there is dressing slippage,the immersion wet dressing 1/2?2/3 or severe curling etc.the dressings should be replaced in time.Observation indicators of this research include outcome,effective rate,recovery time,treatment cost and dressing safety of two-stage pressure injury,besides,the growth of epithelial tissue on the 3rd,5th and 7th day is also included for the stage 2 pressure injury.The experiment data analysis is performed using SPSS 17.0 statistical software.The measurement data is expressed by means of mean and standard deviation(x±s),and the gender and other counting data is tested by chi-square test.If the comparison of the measurement data groups,the normal distribution and the variance are consistent,two-sample t-test will be used.Meantime,the non-parametric test will be used for those who do not conform to the normal distribution and the variance;the chi-square test is used for the count data,the difference is statistically significant at P<0.05.Results:There was no significant difference in the outcome of stage 1 pressure injury between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference in recovery time was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with soft silicone foam dressing,hydrogel foam dressing could shorten the treatment time;According to the cost-effectiveness analysis,the treatment cost of hydrogel foam dressings with higher cost performance is relatively lower than that of soft silicone foam dressings.At the same time,the data has some stability through sensitivity analysis.There was no significant difference in the outcome of stage 2 pressure injury(P>0.05).In terms of recovery time,compared with soft silicone foam dressing,hydrogel foam dressing can better promote wound healing and shorten the healing time of patients.In terms of epithelial tissue growth,the difference was statistically significant on the 3rd and 5th day(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference on the 7th day(P>0.05).The therapeutic effect of the two dressings gradually decreases with the increase of the usage time.The results of cost-effectiveness analysis showed that the treatment scheme of hydrogel foam dressing was more economical,and the soft silicone foam dressing was the better choice.Conclusion:Although the hydrogel foam dressing and the soft silicone foam dressing are equivalent in the outcome of the first and second stage pressure injury,the hydrogel foam dressing can have a shorter treatment time in recovery time;The results showed that the hydrogel foam dressing was more conducive to the crawling of the epithelium and accelerating the recovery of the wound.In terms of cost-effectiveness analysis,the treatment cost of the hydrogel foam dressing is relatively low,and it can reduce the patients' treatment cost and reduce their economic burdens,which has a clinical promotion significance.
