Objectives To reduce the nursing workload, save manpower, and shorten the hospitalization time of patients with pressure ulcers, we applied the wet healing theory to treat sepsis with stage Ⅱ pressure ulcers with combined application of Mepilex and Beffuxin foam dressings. Methods From April, 2014 to December, 2014, sixty patients who diagnosed sepsis with stageⅡpressure sores were included in our study in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University. Sixty patients were randomly divided into two groups, 30 patients each. After the general treatment, the treatment group received treatment of the recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel before foam dressing; while the control group only used foam dressing to treat. Rank sum test and t test was used to compare the data between the two groups. Results Two groups of patients after treatment showed that the treatment group healed in26 cases, 86.7% of the total number of cases, the efficiency four cases, 13.3% of the total number of cases, and the cases did not appear ineffective and deterioration; control group,17 cases of healing, 56.7% of the total number of cases, efficient six cases, 13.3% of the total number of cases, invalid 6 cases, 20% of the total number of cases, and one case of deterioration, 3.3% of the total number of cases. In the case of therapeutic healing time, the treatment group was average 7.26 ± 2.31 days, while the control group was 11.23 ±3.13 days. Conclusion Experimental results showed that the joint use of foam dressing with recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel can significantly improve curing rate of stage Ⅱ pressure ulcers in sepsis patients and can significantly reduce wound healing time.
