Observation On The Clinical Efficacy Of Beixiang Xiaoying Recipe In The Treatment Of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis With Stagnation Of Qi And Phlegm

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of BEIXIANG Xiaoying formula in the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis(Qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction syndrome),so as to provide a new treatment method and theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of Hashimoto’s disease.Methods: Sixty patients who met the study criteria were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group according to the order of treatment.The control group was given basic treatment;the treatment group was given basic treatment + BEIXIANG Xiaoying Decoction.The total treatment time is 12 weeks.After 12 weeks,through statistical analysis,the changes of TCM symptom score,thyroid antibody titer level,thyroid function and thyroid color Doppler ultrasound before and after treatment were compared between the two groups of patients.Results:1.From the point of single symptom score of traditional Chinese medicine: after treatment in the two groups,the treatment group can effectively reduce the score of single symptom of traditional Chinese medicine(P<0.01).The control group can partly reduce the single symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(neck obstruction or foreign body feeling,emotional depression,Swelling in front of the neck,hypochondriac pain,chest distress),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),but not significantly reduce the single symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(Poor appetite and epigastric distention,Loose stools,Sigh often)(P>0.05).The comparison between groups after treatment showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the single symptoms of TCM,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.From the point of TCM syndrome score: after treatment in the two groups,the TCM syndrome score in the two groups was significantly lower than before(P<0.01).After treatment comparison between the two groups,the improved TCM syndrome score treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).3.In terms of the titer of thyroid autoantibody: after treatment,the titers of thyroid peroxidase antibody and thyroglobulin antibody in the two groups were lower than before(P<0.01),the difference was statistically significant.Compared between the two groups after treatment,the decrease in thyroid autoantibody titer of the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.4.From the point of view of thyroid color Doppler ultrasound: there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment within and between groups(P>0.05).5.From the perspective of thyroid function: there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups within and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:The clinical symptoms of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis patients(Qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction syndrome)can be alleviated by the application of BEIXIANG Xiaoying Decoction,and the titer of thyroid autoantibody can be effectively reduced,which has no obvious effect on the liver and kidney function during the period of administration,so the administration is safe.
