Objective: To retrospectively analyze the effect of Buyang Huanwu Dec oction on the neurological function after posterior cervical decompressio n of cervical spondylotic myelopathy, and to explore its therapeutic effec t on postoperative neurological rehabilitation. Methods: Collect the rele vant case data of patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy who und erwent posterior cervical spinal canal decompression at the Second Affili ated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2016 to December 2019,and divide them according to whether t hey took Buyang Huanwu Tang after surgery.Into the control group and the Chinese medicine group,15 cases in each group,a total of 30 cases were included in the study.Compare the general information and observa tion indexes of the two groups of patients: preoperative,1 week after ope ration,1 month after operation,3 months after operation,JOA score,ND I,improvement rate of neurological function,Neurological improvement classification?TCM symptom score,Chinese medicine effectiveness eva luation. Results: 29 of the 30 patients achieved good results, and 1 patie nt's neurological function did not recover significantly. The overall JOA score of the traditional Chinese medicine group was higher than that of t he control group(F = 4.361,P = 0.046 <0.05).The JOA score of both gr oups increased with time(F = 588.035,P = 0.000 <0.05).There was no s ignificant difference between the scores at 1 week after surgery(P> 0.05).The postoperative JOA scores of the two groups were higher than tho se before the surgery(P = 0.000 <? = 0.01).Week(P = 0.000 <?),the sc ores of the two groups of patients after 3 months were significantly impr oved compared with 1 month after the operation(P = 0.000 <?).Among t hem,the score of the Chinese medicine group was better than that of the operation control group at 1 month and 3 months after operation(P <0.05).The NDI index of the traditional Chinese medicine group was lower t han that of the control group(F = 4.273,P = 0.048 <0.05).The NDI inde x of the two groups decreased with time(F = 485.494,P = 0.000 <0.05).There was no significant difference in NDI at 1 week after operation(P>0.05).The NDI index after operation was lower than that before operati on(P = 0.000 <? = 0.01).There was no significant change in the index o f the operation control group at 1 month after operation compared to 1 w eek after operation(P = 0.055 > ?),the NDI index of the Chinese medic ine group at 1 month after operation was better than 1 week after operati on(P = 0.000 <?),and the index at 3 months after operation in both grou ps was significantly improved compared to 1 month after operation(P =0.000 <?).Among them, the NDI of the traditional Chinese medicine gro up was better than the control group at 1 month and 3 months after the o peration(P <0.05).The nerve function improvement rate,NDI improvem ent rate, and nerve function improvement grade of the Chinese medicine group were better than those of the surgery control group, and the differe nce was significant(P <0.05).The TCM symptom score of the TCM grou p was lower than that of the surgery control group(F = 4.668,P = 0.039<0.05),the TCM symptom score of both groups decreased with time(F =732.129,P = 0.000 <0.05),before and 1 week after surgery There was n o significant difference in TCM symptom scores between the two groups(P> 0.05).The postoperative TCM symptom scores of the two groups of patients were lower than those before the operation(P = 0.000 <? = 0.01).It was better than 1 week after operation(P = 0.000 <?).The scores o f the two groups of patients after 3 months were significantly improved c ompared with 1 month after operation(P = 0.000 <?).The TCM sympto m score of the Chinese medicine group was better than that of the operati on control group at 1 month and 3 months after operation(P <0.05).The effective rate of the Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was significant(Z,P:-2.910,0.004).Conclusion: Buyang Huanwu Decoction can effectively promote the neu rological rehabilitation after posterior cervical decompression of cervical spondylotic myelopathy and significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
