Objective: Observe the clinical effect of vertical and horizontal acupuncture on lumbar disc herniation(L4/5),objectively evaluate the effectiveness and safety of vertical and horizontal acupuncture on patients with lumbar disc herniation(L4/5),so as to promote vertical and horizontal The therapeutic effect of acupuncture provides an objective basis. Methods: Sixty patients with lumbar disc herniation(L4/5)were randomly divided into two groups,30 in each group. The treatment group was treated with vertical acupuncture and the control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture. After 3weeks of treatment, the pain visual analog scale(VAS)and lumbar dysfunction index(ODI)scores of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared and the total effectiveness was compared.Results:1.Comparison of pain visual analogue scale(VAS)scores:After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01);and the VAS scores of the vertical and horizontal acupuncture group after treatment were compared with the ordinary acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of lumbar dysfunction index(ODI)scores: After treatment, the ODI scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01);and the ODI score of the vertical and horizontal acupuncture group after treatment Compared with the ordinary acupuncture group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison of total effective rate: statistically significant(P <0.05),indicating that the clinical effect of vertical acupuncture on lumbar disc herniation(L4/5)is better.Conclusion:1.Both vertical and horizontal acupuncture and ordinary acupuncture are effective in treating lumbar disc herniation(L4/5),and vertical and horizontal acupuncture is more effective.2.The vertical and horizontal acupuncture method uses fewer needles and is more precise, the patient has less pain and is safe, and is worthy of clinical application.
