Objective: Under the guidance of syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, according to the contents of Jingyue Encyclopedia and various editions of the textbook of Internal Medicine of traditional Chinese Medicine, combined with the clinical efficacy to prove the efficacy and safety of oral Yiyuan decoction(Jichuan decoction plus Wenyang Jianpi medicine)in the treatment of Yang deficiency constipation. To explore a more effective treatment for patients with functional constipation(Yang deficiency constipation). Methods: Patients who were diagnosed as functional constipation in the second affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2019 to December 2019 were included in this study.According to the order of visit,70 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 35)and control group(n = 35).The treatment group was given Yiyuan decoction orally, one pack each time(150ml/ package),and one packet in the morning and evening after meal. The control group was given Procapride Succinate Tablets(trade name: Liluo,Shandong Innovation Drug Research and Development Co.,Ltd.,1mg/ tablets)orally,2mg/,once a day.The course of treatment in both groups was 28 days. The changes of symptom scores were counted after the end of treatment, and followed up one month after the end of treatment. The results were analyzed systematically by SPSS25.0 software. Results: There were 70 cases in this study, and there was no difference in sex,age and course of disease(P > 0.05).In the treatment group,12 cases were cured,16 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 94.29%.In the control group,7 cases were cured,13 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective,8 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 77.14%.The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05),and the score of symptom improvement in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).After treatment, the quality of life of the two groups was significantly improved, especially in the dimensions of physiology and satisfaction(P < 0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups during the period of medication. Conclusion: Yiyuan decoction is more effective in the treatment of Yang deficiency constipation than non-syndrome differentiation therapy with procapride succinate tablets, and it is effective in improving the score of TCM symptoms.Traditional Chinese medicine therapy can not only improve constipation, but also improve the quality of life of patients, but also has the advantages of safety and reliability, low cost, easy to accept and so on.It is an effective treatment for Yang deficiency constipation in clinic.
