| Objective: Through clinical trial and observe the change of VAS pain scores and JOA scores,evaluating the clinical efficacy of using electroacupuncture with differentiation of meridians in the treatment of sciatica scaused by lumbar disc protrusion(LDH).Methods: According to the order of treatment,70 patients with sciatica caused by LDH would be divided into two groups,there were 35 patients in the observation group,treated with using electroacupuncture with differentiation of meridians,and other 35 patients in the control group would be treated by common electroacupuncture method.All of them used low frequency continuous wave,treatmenthad been done once a day for 6 days continuously.2 weeks for a period of treatement.Before and after two periods of treatment,VAS and JOA score would be used to evaluate the effect,and the difference of curative effect after treatment would be compared between two groups.Results: There were 70 cases included,9 cases were abscission and 61 cases were treated,there were 30 cases in observation group and 31 cases in control group.23 person had been cured in observation group,4 cases improved,3 cases invalid.The effective rate is 90.00%;22 person had been cured in control group,5 cases improved and 4 cases invalid,The effective rate is 87.09%.There was no difference between observation group and control group(P>0.05).The VAS and JOA score were significantly improved in both groups before and after treatment(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between two groups before treatment,and it was comparable.The VAS scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).The JOA scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Using electroacupuncture with differentiation of meridians in the treatment of sciatica scaused by LDH will ease the pain and numbness.The clinical efficacy is as positive as the control group,and this way is worth to promote. |
