Clinical Observation Of Jiaweizengye Decoction In The Treatment Of Senile Functional Constipation With Intestinal Dryness And Body Fluid Deficiency

Objective: Under the guidance of the TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment system,observe the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of Jiawei Zengye Decoction in the treatment of elderly functional constipation intestinal dryness and deficiency,and evaluate its effectiveness and safety.Treatment adds a new effective treatment.Methods:Select 60 patients from the outpatient department of the elderly cadre health department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine that meet the requirements for inclusion of functional constipation in the elderly(intestinal dryness and Tianjin deficiency syndrome),and divide these 60 subjects into treatment according to a safe and random method Group and control group,30 cases in each group,the number is the same.The treatment group was given Jiawei Zengye decoction orally,and the control group was given lactulose orally.The medication time for the two groups was 4 weeks,and every 2 weeks was a course of treatment,for a total of two courses.First,compare the TCM symptom scores of the subjects before treatment and whether the PAC-QOL table(Quality of Life Scale for Constipation)is comparable;second,observe the improvement of the TCM symptom scores of the subjects in the two groups after 2 weeks of treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment At the same time,re-evaluate the PAC-QOL table;finally compare the efficacy of the two groups to determine whether there is a significant difference.One month later,the long-term follow-up of the two groups of subjects was conducted to explore the long-term efficacy.Results:The clinical observations of the two groups showed that they were effective for the treatment of functional constipation in the elderly.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90%,and that of the control group was 83.3%.After the course of treatment,the total score of the main symptoms of TCM in the treatment group was 4.17 ± 3.693,the total score of the secondary symptoms of TCM was 1.63 ± 1.921,the total score of the main symptoms of TCM in the control group was 6.33 ± 4.063,and the total score of TCM was 2.67 ± 2.006.A statistical comparison of the changes in the total scores of primary and secondary symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,P <0.05,suggests that the treatment group is better than the control group in improving the scores of primary and secondary symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine.By comparing the PAC-QOL table scores before and after treatment,the two groups found that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving subject satisfaction,and there was no significant difference in the score changes in the three dimensions of physical,psychological discomfort,and worry.Both groups of subjects experienced adverse reactions during the medication process.Conclution:Jiawei Zengye Decoction is effective in treating senile functional constipation by nourishing yin and invigorating the intestines,nourishing yin and promoting body fluid.After 4 weeks of treatment,the improvement of TCM’s main symptoms,secondary symptoms and PAC-QOL table scores is more significant than 2 weeks.An effective method for the elderly with functional constipation and intestinal dryness and deficiency.
