Clinical Study Of Jiawei Zexie Decoction In The Treatment Of Early Delayed Radiation Brain Injury (phlegm-dampness Blocking Collaterals)

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Jiawei Zexie Decoction on early delayed radiation-induced brain injury(phlegm dampness syndrome).Methods: Sixty patients with edema of early delayed radiation-induced brain injury were randomly divided into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases.The control group received symptomatic supportive treatment with western medicine.The treatment group combined with Weizexie Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups took 1 month as the observation period.Through imaging examination,observe and compare the changes in the volume of radiation brain injury,general living condition score,improvement of symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,changes in nervous system damage of the two groups of patients,and record relevant safety indicators.Results: Compare the changes of the volume of radiation brain injury before and after treatment in the two groups to determine the efficacy.The effective rate in the treatment group was 73.3%(22/30)and the effective rate in the control group was 43.3%(13/30),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the efficacy ofthe KPS score in the treatment group was improved in 12 cases,stable in 14 cases,and decreased in 4 cases;the efficacy of the KPS score in the control group was improved in 5 cases,stable in 11 cases,and reduced in 14 cases,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment of TCM syndrome points was statistically significant(P< 0.001),the difference was statistically significant;After treatment,the total effective rate in the treatment group was 93%(28/30),and the total effective rate in the control group was 63%(19/30).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);Prompts that both groups can effectively reduce TCM syndrome scores,and the efficacy of TCM syndromes in the treatment group is significantly better than that in the control group.Radiation brain injury LENT/SOMA graded treatment group deteriorated 1,ineffective 9,effective20,effective rate 66.7%;control group deteriorated 4,ineffective 15,effective 11,effective rate 36.7%,the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of reduction of the volume of radiation brain injury,general living conditions,efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes,and brain injury grading indicators(P<0.05).Conclusion: Jiawei Zexie Decoction combined with Western medicinesymptomatic support treatment for delayed-type radiation brain injury can effectively reduce the volume of radiation brain injury in patients,relieve clinical symptoms,improve general living conditions,and improve the quality of life of patients.
