Objective: Based on modern literature, the TCM syndromes and medication rules of pediatric allergic cough are studied to provide a reference for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods: The method of combining computer search and manual search was used to collect the literature of pediatric allergic cough from January 2010 to December 2019,to screen the documents that meet the requirements and to organize the extraction of TCM syndromes and Chinese herbs.Results:1.A total of 33 qualified articles were included through screening.2.Analysis of TCM syndromes : Included in the literature, there are 5 main pathological factors involved, namely lung, spleen, liver, kidney, meridian, and 9 etiological factors, namely wind-phlegm,(external)wind,wind-poisoning,qi deficiency, yin deficiency, blood stasis, phlegm, phlegm drink, internal fire(heat).Through frequency analysis,it was found that the lung accounted for the highest proportion(51.25%),followed by the spleen(25%),kidney(12.5%),liver(7.5%),and meridians(3.75%).Through pathological factors analysis,it was found that the wind-phlegm accounted for the highest proportion(28.36%),followed by qi deficiency(17.91%),yin deficiency(10.45%),(outside)wind(9.0%),internal fire(heat)(9.0%),blood stasis(5.8%),and the rest phlegm dampness,wind-poisoning,and phlegm drink are all less than 5%.Through cluster analysis, meridian, blood stasis, kidney, and yin-deficiency are gathered into one group;lung, wind phlegm, spleen, and liver are gathered into one group;qi deficiency and phlegm are gathered into one group.Five principal components are obtained through factor analysis. The first principal component is composed of lung, spleen, liver, and wind-phlegm,which can explain 22.754% of the variance. The second principal component is composed of meridian, blood stasis, kidney, and yin deficiency, which can explain 18.347%of the variance. The third principal component is composed of spleen, phlegm, which can explain 13.395% of the variance. The fourth principal component consists of yin deficiency, internal fire(heat),and phlegm, which can explain 11.047%.The fifth principal component consists of qi deficiency and yin deficiency, which can explain the variance of 9.631%.3.Analysis of traditional Chinese medicine: A total of 19 types of drugs and 185 Chinese herb s(excluding licorice)were selected in the eligible literature.According to the frequency analysis of the types of traditional Chinese medicines,it was found that the expectorant and anti-asthmatic herb s accounted for the highest proportion, approximately 23.32%,followed by wind-expelling(22.69%)and tonic herbs(14.07%,of which enriching the qi and yin herbs mainly),heat-clearing herbs(12.67%),pingganxifeng herbs(6.97%),diuretic and damp-wetting herbs(3.68%),astringent herbs(3.68%),digestive herbs(3.30%);qi-smoothing herbs(3.17%),activat-ing blood circulation and removing blood stasis herbs(1.52%),rheumatism herbs(1.27%).The types of dampness ing herbs, tranquil i-zing herbs, wenli herbs, insect ing repellent herbs, gongxia herbs, hemostatic herbs, resuscitati ng herbs, attack ing and kill insects antipruritic herb s accounted for less than 1%.According to the analysis of the medicinal, flavor, and meridian of traditional Chinese medicine, the medicinal properties are mostly cold and warm, the flavors are mainly spicy, bitter, and sweet, and the mainly meridian is pulmonary meridian. After removing licorice, the total frequency of the first 31 herb s was 436 by single-frequency analysis of traditional Chinese medicines, accounting for 55.26%,of which 9 were antitussive and expectorant herb s,8 were wind-expelling hreb s,5were tonic herb s.There are 3 flavors of pingganxifeng,3 flavors of heat-clearing herbs, and chenpi, poria, schisandra.Cluster analysis of 31 flavors of herb s yielded cocklebur, xinyi, baizhi, fritillaria, xuanshen, platycodon grandiflora, mulberry leaf, ephedra, earthworm as a group;mulberry root bark, gualou skin, uncaria, bitter almond, huangqin gathered into one group;nanshashen, radix ophiopogonis, baibu, tussilago, ziwan aster gather into one group;pinellia ternata, chenpi, poria are gathered into one group;schisandra, asarum, astragalus, atractylodes, fangfeng, baishao gather for a group.Six main components were obtained through factor analysis of 31 Chinese herbs. The first principal component was composed of cocklebur, xinyi, fritillaria, baizhi, shegan, platycodon grandiflora, xuanshen, earthworm, gualou skin, ephedra, cicada slough, which can beexplained 14.752% of the variance;the second principal component is composed of astragalus, fangfeng, baishao, schisandra chinensis, nanshashen, baibu, which can explain the 11.111% of the variance;the third principal component is tussilago, mulberry root bark, baibu, ziwan, nanshashen, can explain the variance of 8.325%;the fourth principal component is composed of earthworms, sericulture, pinellia, poria, uncaria, which can explain the variance of 7.258%;the fifth principal component is composed of baibu, ziwan, pinellia, poria, chenpi, asarum, can explain 5.870% of the variance;the sixth main component is composed of huangqin, fritillaria, pinellia, uncaria, which can explain 5.548% of the variance.Conclusion:1.Analysis of pediatric allergic cough-related syndrome factors and herb-using regulation s showed that the types of syndromes involved mainly include wind phlegm hiddening in the lung, phlegm dampness sy ndrome, deficiency of qi and yin, insufficiency of lung qi,and internal heat of yin deficiency.2.The main site of pediatric allergic cough is in the lungs, and it involves liver, spleen and kidneys. The common etiology and pathogenic factor is wind-phlegm,and it involves qi deficiency, yin deficiency, phlegm, stasis, internal fire(heat)and(outside)wind.3.The traditional Chinese medicine category for curing pediatric allergic cough are mainly expectorant and anti-asthmatic,windexpelling,tonic and heat-clearing.The property of Chinese herbs is mostly cold and warm, and the taste is mostly spicy, bitter, and sweet. The main meridian of Chinese herbs is the pulmonary meridian.
