Applied Research On Respite Service Intervention In The Relief Of Parental Stress Of Mothers Of Autistic Children

The number of autistic children in our country is increasing at the rate of 200,000 every year,and now it has reached about 2 million.In the midst of this epidemic,autism is no longer a rare condition.It is a developmental disorder that can not be completely cured by drug therapy and rehabilitation training.Because of the characteristics of the disease,it affects the normal life of individuals and requires long-term care of others.Understandably,behind this large number of special groups of children,there are more parents of autistic children.Assuming that each autistic child needs two caregivers,the number of caregivers who need to care for them over the long term would be as high as 4 million.In accordance with the traditional family concept of our country,parents have the responsibility for the upbringing of their children,especially in such special families,where the task of caring for autistic children often falls to the mother due to the division of family gender roles,put a lot of pressure on him to be a parent.This research mainly takes the mother of autistic children in YG project as the research object,through the early visit to the House and observation in the project activity,we know the present situation and the demand of some families' upbringing,this paper also analyzes the reality of mothers with autism,identifies the research topics,and explores the effective service mode to relieve the parental stress of mothers with autism.Based on the data,the author finds that the past research experience shows that respite service is effective in relieving the stress of such special caregivers,but it is only a short-term substitute service.Therefore,the author explores the research from the perspective of social work of helping others and self-help.According to the real needs of the research subjects,the service plan is designed under the guidance of the emotion ABC theory and the social support theory,through the combination of social work professional methods and temporary care services,the mothers of autistic children can grow up in a "breathing space" while leaving the heavyburden of the family behind,thereby taking the opportunity to help them change their irrational beliefs,adjust self-cognition,learn to deal with the parental pressure rationally,and seek more social support,so as to alleviate the parental pressure of the service object to a certain extent.Finally,the application effect of Gasp Service is evaluated by double evaluation,and the long-term service mechanism of this study is tried to be found.Through practice and investigation,the author believes that respite service can effectively relieve the parental stress of mothers with autistic children,and explores further tentative ideas based on this conclusion,hoping to be helpful to the related research in the future,for your reference.
