The intellectual disability is becoming a huge,vulnerable groups that can not be ignored,but because of their own mental retardation,along with cognition behavior and emotional responses defects,It's difficult for them to live an independent living by their own strength.The organization that short name for LZ in B city gives full play to the professional advantages of social work and special-education and launch mental disabilities to train the mild intellectual disabled for self management,including planning their life,carrying out social life skills training under the guide of professional person,so as to integrate into the society out of the family,and master the skills of social life.The author selected 10 persons with mild intellectual retardation who are in needs to develop self-confidence for living independently and master independent living skills,including self-selection,self-determination and self-responsibility internalized ability,and through the community integration to truly achieve the needs of independent living.Based on these needs,The author design activities including Sitcoms,outdoor experience,ect.to promote the group goals.The conclusion of the study shows that group work intervention has a significant effect on the improvement of independent living ability of people with mild intellectual disability.Finally,the paper also suggests that when serving,attention should be paid to the matching of group content design and group members' ability,and the consistency of the worker's discourse system with group members,and the workers should have empathy and patience duringthe the process,which is of practical significance for the group work intervening in the improvement of the members.
