Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Idiopathic Facial Nerve Palsy By Pressing And Embedding Needles

Objective: To compare the clinical effects of combined needle-embedding therapy and conventional western medicine therapy in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis,and to explore the clinical efficacy and advantages of needle-embedding therapy in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis.Methods: 60 patients with idiopathic facial paralysis were selected from June 2018 to January 2019 in the Department of acupuncture and moxibustion,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.They were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine western medicine alone,while the treatment group was treated with needle-embedding therapy on the basis of the control group.One week was a course of treatment.After two consecutive courses of treatment,the evaluation criteria of clinical efficacy and facial nerve function,VAS score of postauricular pain and TCM symptom score were used to compare the therapeutic effect of the two groups.Results:After two consecutive courses of treatment,the total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,and that of the control group was 70.00%.The total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The facial nerve function score,VAS score of postauricular pain and TCM symptom score of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The clinical effect of combined needle-embedding therapy on idiopathic facial paralysis is better than that of conventional western medicine alone.2.Combination of needle-embedding therapy for idiopathic facial paralysis can improve the cure rate of patients,and its operation is simple,safe and painless,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
