Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of external use of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with the application of evidence-based meta-analysis(Meta-analysis),and to summarize the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris by external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.Provide a basis for clinical rational drug use.Materials and Methods: A randomized controlled trial of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris was conducted through systematic retrieval of national and internal medical databases. The domestic databases used includeChina Knowledge Network Database(CNKI),Chong Qing VIP Database(VIP),China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),Wanfang Data Resource Statistics(WF),etc.;foreign medical databases include Pubmed,EMBASE database, and Cochrane Library.Wait.A comprehensive randomized controlled trial of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris was conducted through a comprehensive system, and the quality of the literature was evaluated by rigorous inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane “risk bias assessment tool”.The data extraction table was used for data extraction, including basic information, intervention measures, number of cases in the treatment group and control group, effective cases, efficacy criteria, statistical methods, and conclusions.Meta-analysis was performed using the statistical software Revman Manager 5.3.Results:A total of 1730 literature studies were obtained through database search. After screening by title, abstract and full text,a total of 18 studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the systematic review. The total sample size was 2027,and the number of cases included in the treatment group was 1037.The number of cases in the control group was 990.The results of this meta-analysis are summarized as follows:In terms of efficiency: Meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for psoriasis vulgaris was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Chinese medicine medicated bath group(I2=0%,OR: 3.40,95% CI: [2.32,4.98],P<0.00001);Chinese medicine fumigation group(I2=0%,OR: 2.85,95% CI: [1.39,3.31],P<0.00001);Chinese medicine ointment group(I2=0%,OR: 3.28,95% CI: [1.60,6.71],P = 0.001).In the improvement of PASI scores, the meta-analysis showed that the PASI scores of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for psoriasis vulgaris were significantly better than the control group, and the results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Chinese medicine fumigation group(I2=81%>50%,using REM analysis,MD 3.03,95% CI(1.05,5.02),P=0.003);Chinese medicine medicated bath group(I2=89%>50%,using REM analysis,MD 3.32,95% CI: [1.50,5.14],P = 0.0004);Chinese medicine ointment(MD 4.29,95% CI: [2.35,6.23],P < 0.0001).Conclusion: 1.The curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment on psoriasis vulgaris is better than that of the group, and can better reduce the clinical recurrence rate and adverse reactions.2.Chinese medicine external treatment for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris in the PASI score, the treatment group was better than the control group.3.The traditional Chinese medicine external treatment method for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris blood heat syndrome is mainly based on clearing heat, cooling blood and phlegm.
