Purpose:Systematic evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine intervention on blood lipids and SREBP-1c in experimental animals.Material and method:Computer-based search of Chinese databases,China Howe,Wanfang, and Wei,the popular English database Pub Med,and retrospective reference literature that was included in the study, comprehensively collected blood lipids and factors affecting lipid metabolism that were collected before and during the period from January 2003 to December 2017 Animal experiments with SREBP-1c expression.SYRCLE scale was used to evaluate the quality of the literature.Rev Man5.3 software was used for meta-analysis.The analysis indicators were continuous data. The standard mean difference(SMD)and its 95% confidence interval(95% CI)were used to draw the forest map.Analyze and discuss the results, generate funnel charts, and analyze the bias of publication. Results: 1.A total of 23 randomized controlled animal experiments were included, including 3 English articles and 20 Chinese articles. The animal species included SD rats,Wistar rats,OLETF rats and golden hamsters.2.Meta analysis results show that:(1)Chinese medicine treatment of experimental animal dyslipidemia in triglyceride compared with model group combined effect of SMD =-2.72,95% CI(-3.39,-2.05),P <0.00001.(2)Chinese medicine treatment of experimental animal dyslipidemia in cholesterol compared with the model group combined effect of SMD =-2.42,95% CI(-3.09,-1.75),P <0.00001.(3)Chinese medicine treatment of experimental animal dyslipidemia LDL cholesterol combined model group combined effect of SMD =-1.76,95%CI(-2.41,-1.21),P <0.00001.(4)Chinese medicine treatment of experimental animal dyslipidemia in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol compared with the model group combined effect of SMD = 0.55,95% CI(-0.10,1.28),P = 0.09.(5)Traditional Chinese medicine inhibited the expression of SREBP-1c m RNA in experimental animals compared with the model group. The combined effect of SMD =-4.48,95%CI(-5.54,-3.41),P<0.00001.(5)Traditional Chinese medicine inhibited the expression of SREBP-1c protein in experimental animals compared with the model group. The combined effect SMD =-2.62,95%CI(-3.60,-1.65),P<0.00001.Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine may reduce the levels of triglyceride, cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol by inhibiting the expression of SREBP-1c m RNA and protein.
