Clinical Observation Of Tongmai Jiangzhuo Decoction In The Treatment Of Stable Angina Pectoris (phlegm And Blood Stasis Syndrome) Combined With Carotid Atherosclerosis

Purpose:To evaluate the clinical observation of Tongmai Jiangzhuo treatment of coronary heart disease(phlegm and blood stasis syndrome)combined with carotid atherosclerosis.Materials and Method:According to the random number table,60 subjects with coronary heart disease angina pectoris(turbid blood stasis syndrome)combined with carotid atherosclerosis were randomly selected according to the row-rank criteria,and 30 subjects were randomly divided into a test group and a control group.The control group was treated with usually western medicine,and the test group was given Tongmai Jiangzhuo Decoction 100 ml twice a day on the basis of the control group.Each group of patients was treated for 8 weeks.After 8 weeks,the symptoms of angina pectoris,TCM syndromes,electrocardiogram,nitroglycerin use,carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT),total plaque area,and lipid changes were observed in the two groups.Results: 1.The symptoms of angina pectoris were improved after treatment in both groups,and the test group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).2.The TCM symptoms of both groups improved after treatment,and the test group was better than the control group(P<0.05).3.The improvement of electrocardiogram after treatment was similar between the two groups,both were not ideal,and P>0.05,there was no significant sta tistical difference.4.Both groups had improved blood lipids after treatment,and the test group was better than the control group(P<0.05).5.The IMT and plaque area of the common carotid artery were reduced after treatment in both groups,and the test group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Tongmai Jiangzhuo can reduce the symptoms of angina pectoris in patients with coronary heart disease and angina pectoris(turbid blood stasis syndrome),improve TCM syndromes,reduce blood lipid content,and improve the common carotid artery-intimal thickness(IMT)and the total area of plaque.2.Tongmai Jiangzhuo has no serious side effects in clinical application,and it is safe and reliable.
