Background:Acute pancreatitis(AP)is one of the common diseases of the digestive system.Severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)has a high mortality, early enteral nutrition(EN)can significantly reduce the incidence of complications and mortality compared with parenteral nutrition(PN).EN treatment is longer than the length of hospitalition. Therefore Home enteral nutrition(HEN)is necessary. However, there is no domestic research about the complications of HEN in AP patients to provide experience for H EN and guidance for general practitioners in HEN medical care. Methods:This is a retrospective study, collected AP patients' date who are receiving HEN via nasojejunal tube from January 2017 to January 2019 in Peking union medical college hospital.Patients with HEN were followed up by telephone, and the length of HEN and complications were recorded. Then we explore the incidence of complications during hospitalization and home.We used logistic regression analysis to analyze the influence factors of HEN complications. Results:There were 51 patients who met the inclusion criteria, including 34 males(66.7%).There were 43 patients(84.3%)had complications during the EN in the hospital, including 35 cases(81.4%)of gastrointestinal di scomfort,22 cases(51.2%)of metabolic complications, and 12 cases(27.9%)nutritional complications,4 cases(9.3%)mechanical complications. There were 41 cases of complications during HEN,accounting for 80.4%;the incidence of common complications during HEN was 22 cases(53.7%)of mechanical complications and 16 cases of gastrointestinal discomfort(39.0).%),14 cases(34.1%)of reducing the quality of life,11 cases of nasopharyngeal discomfort(26.8%).Conclusion:The complications between EN and HEN are different.Mechanical complications is the most common complications of HEN in AP patients, followed by gastrointestinal symptoms and quality of life.Unknown etiology of AP was an independent risk factor for complication of HEN in AP patients.
