A Randomized, Controlled Trial Study On Treatment Of Damp-heat Facial Dermatitis By Qingxiao Method

Facial dermatitis is a general term for non-infectious inflammatory dermatosis of the face.It usually recurs repeatedly and lasts for a long time,causing both physical and mental suffering of patients.Especially the cosmetics abuse and environmental climate anomaly have made the prevalence of facial dermatitis rise in recent years.At present,the treatment of facial dermatitis can be divided into two parts:traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.Western medicine mainly relies on treatment of oral or external antihistamines,anti-inflammatory drugs and immunosuppressive agents.Compared with Western medicine,Chinese medicine treatment is more flexible.First,under the guidance of the theory of Holistic View and Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment,combining of four diagnostic methods and considering three reasons of different time,place and persons to influence treatment methods,through the different combination of traditional Chinese medicine,facial dermatitis is treated with both specimens.Besides,it can also use traditional Chinese medicine thearpy such as wet compress of Chinese herbal medicine,fumigation of Chinese medicine,mask of traditional Chinese medicine,acupuncture and auricular acupuncture to treat local symptomatic.Combining the whole with the local and treating the specimen at the same time,the clinical effect is remarkable,so it has been accepted by more and more patients,by more and more clinicians attention.Objective:The Xianyu Wet Application Form is an empirical prescription for the treatment of damp-heat facial dermatitis in our department.It has clinical examination and its clinical effect is worthy of affirmation.In order to meet the needs of clinical treatment,combining with clinical experience in the treatment of damp-heat facial dermatitis,following the basic principle of "Clearing up" law and basing on the previous research of Zhang Xiaocen,a graduate student of Grade 2013,the Xianyu Wet Application Form is optimizated from two aspects of drug composition and dosage form to improve the curative effect and be easy application and provide the Optimized Xianyu External Application Form effectiveness and safety data supportverify for clinical application and promotion.Method:The patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group was treated with theOptimized Xianyu External Application Form and the control group was treated with 3%boric acid lotion.Besides,both groups were treated with self-made oral the Traditional Chinese Medicine and zinc oxide ointment made by our department after wet application.Both groups were treated for two weeks.FDCSI,DLQI and skin barrier function(SCH,SEB)were recorded before treatment and after 1 week and 2 weeks treatment.Two months after the end of treatment,follow-uping and recording FDCSI.Result:Two groups of comprehensive curative effect comparison:after treatment for one week,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 56.67%and that of the control group was 50.00%.There was no remarkable statistical differences in comprehensive curative effect between the two groups after treatment for one week(P>0.05).After treatment for two weeks,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 80.00%and that of the control group was 73.33%.There was no remarkable statistical differences in comprehensive curative effect between the two groups after treatment for two week(P>0.05).Two groups of single curative effect comparison:after treatment(lw,2w),the scores of skin lesions(erythema,papules,swelling,pruritus)were significantly lowing and there were remarkable statistical differences(P<0.05).There were no remarkable statistical differences in single curative effect between the two groups after treatment for 1w and 2w(P>0.05).Two groups of improving of skin barrier comparison:after treatment(1w,2w),SCH in the two groups was significantly highing and there were remarkable statistical differences(P<0.05).After treatment(1w,2w),SEB had no significant improvement comparing with treatment before in the two groups and there were no remarkable statistical differences(P>0.05).There were no remarkable statistical differences in SCH and SEB improvement between the two groups after treatment for 1w and 2w(P>0.05).Two groups of relapse rate comparison:two months after the end of treatment,the relapse rate of the experimental group was 20.83%and that of the control group was 40.91%.There was no remarkable statistical differences in relapse rate of the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The effect of the Optimized Xianyu External Application Form and 3%boric acid lotion in treating facial dermatitis of damp-heat type in the acute phase is similar.Both of them can significantly improve erythema,papules,swelling,itching and skin lesion area,and significantly increase SCH,but it can not significantly improve SEB.
