Objective Analyze the clinicopathological features of metaplastic breast cancer(MBC).Method Collected the clinicopathlogical characteristics of 37 metaplastic breast cancer patients who were treated in Breast Health Center,the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from Jan 2008 to Jan 2015,and retrospectively analyzed and summarized their features and treatments.Results Most patients of MBC were 50 years old,and admitted because of painless lump.No difference in the location of left or right breast and rarely involved both sides.This study in37 cases of breast metaplastic carcinoma,21 cases of squamous cell carcinoma,spindle cell carcinoma in 11 cases,carcinoma with mesenchymal differentiation in 3 cases,myoepithelial carcinoma in 1 case,fibromatosis like of metaplastic carcinoma 1case.The most histological subtype were squamous cell carcinoma,then was spindle cell carcinoma.Most MBC were ER negative,HER2 negative,CK5/6 positive,p53 positive and with high Ki67.According to the molecular subtypes,most MBC patients were triple negative breast cancer.MBC patients mostlyreceived modified radical mastectomy and chemotherapy.Conclusion Metaplastic carcinoma of the breast is a rare type of organization and a more complex special type of breast cancer.Patients always go to doctor with painless breast lumps,tumors tend to be larger,lymph node metastasis was rare,most MBC was triple negative breast cancer,very few was in the presence of hormone receptor and HER-2 expression,tumor proliferation had higher activity,high expression of p53 and CK5 / 6 was shown.
