Objective(s):To analyze the clinicopathological features of metaplastic breast cancer(MBC)and the correlation between the immunohistochemical expression of the molecular markers p63 and CK5/6 and MBC,and to compare them with the non-specific type of invasive cancer(IDC-NST),to explore the application value of p63 and CK5/6 in the diagnosis of chemoplastic breast cancer,to help find new therapeutic targets and imPRove the prognosis of patients. Methods:A total of 39 hospitalized cases of malignant breast cancer diagnosed by pathology department were collected from our hospital from 2010 to 2019.Meanwhile,39 cases of non-specific invasive carcinoma diagnosed in our hospital were randomly selectedResults:1.The clinical data of 39 MBC and 39 idc-nst samples were reviewed.Among the MBC patients,35(89.7%)were estrogen receptor(ER)negative,32(82.1%)were progesterone receptor(PR)negative, and 28(71.8%)were human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)negative.Among them, there were 25 cases(64.1%)of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),and the expression rates of ER,PR,HER2 negative and TNBC were significantly higher than those of ER negative(20.5%),PR negative(20.5%),HER2 negative(55.9%)and triple-negative breast cancer(5.1%)in 39 IDC-NST cases.Combined with related literature, and through statistical analysis.Correlation analysis between ER and PR expression levels and different pathological types of breast cancer showed that ER and PR expression levels were significantly correlated with MBC(p<0.01).2.After immunohistochemical tests of p63 and CK5/6 on 39 MBC and 39 idc-nst samples,Correlation analysis was conducted between the clinicopathological features of 39 MBC samples and the expression of p63 and CK5/6,and no significant correlation was found between the expression of p63 and CK5/6 and the expression of age, mass size, lymph node,ER,PR and HER2(p>0.05).3.Among the 39 cases of metaplastic breast cancer,23 were Metaplastic squamous cell carcinoma,7 were metaplastic carcinoma with mesenchymal differentiation, and 3 were malignant spindle cell carcinoma.2 were carcinomas with apocrine differentiation,1 case of fibromatosis-like cell carcinoma,1 case was carcinoma with neuroendocrine,2 cases positive im type. The immunohistochemical test results of p63 and CK5/6 were:24(61.5%)of the 39 MBC cases were p63 positive,32(82.1%)were CK5/6 positive, significantly higher than idc-nst(10.2%)and CK5/6 positive(28.2%).Correlation analysis between the expression of p63 and CK5/6 and two different pathological types of breast cancer showed that the expression of p63 and CK5/6 was significantly correlated with MBC(p<0.01).4.39 cases of metaplastic carcinoma were divided into two groups:chemogenic squamous cell carcinoma and non-chemogenic squamous cell carcinoma.Among the 23 cases of squamous cell carcinoma,20(87.0%)showed positive expression of p63,while 23(100%)showed positive expression of CK5/6,which was significantly higher than the positive expression rates of p63(25.0%)and CK5/6(56.2%)of non-malignant squamous cell carcinoma.Analysis of the correlation between the expression of p63 and CK5/6 and the two types of chemosexual carcinoma showed that the expression of p63 and CK5/6 was significantly correlated with chemosexual squamous cell carcinoma(p<0.01)Conclusion(s):1.Metaplastic carcinoma is a special pathological type of breast cancer, and its molecular classification mostly belongs to non-hormone dependent triple negative breast cancer.Combined with the results of this study and related literature,we analyzed the lack of targeted receptors in the treatment of metaplasia breast cancer and lack of therapeutic targets.,and is PRone to invasion and metastasis.2.The expression of p63 and CK5/6 in metaplastic breast cancer was not significantly correlated with the age, mass size, lymph node status,ER expression,PR expression and HER2 expression of the patients, and the differences in these indicators did not affect the positive expression of p63 and CK5/6 in metaplastic breast cancer.3.The positive expression rate of p63 and CK5/6 in metaplastic breast cancer is significantly higher than that of non-specific invasive type,so p63 and CK5/6 are expected to be therapeutic targets for metaplastic breast cancer.4.The positive expression rate of p63 and CK5/6 was significantly higher than that of non-metaplastic phosphoric carcinoma,so the diagnosis and treatment of chemosomal squamous cell carcinoma with p63 and CK5/6 could also be judged as a basis.
