Objective:To explore the effects of Self-confidence Training on the rehabilitation of the rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia.Methods:7018-55years old patients with schizophrenia who met CCMD-3were randomly divided into study group and control group. Both groups were treated with routine medication, study group was given the Self-confidence Training twice a week for five weeks. Self-confidence Training had not provided for control group cases. Pre and post treatment, both groups were assessed with the PANSS (The Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale), the SES (Self-Esteem Scale), the SDS (Self-rating Depression Scale), social support rating scale, FNES (Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale), SAD (Social Avoidance and Distress Scale), SQLS (The Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale) in order to find out the effects on their rehabilitation.Results:1. Before the treatment, the differentiation between the scores of the rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia in both groups at PANSS, psychological scale and each aspect point of the SQLS has no statistical significance(P>0.05).2. Pre and post treatment, the scores of the study groups in PANSS and psychological scale were statistically significant (P<0.05).Pre and post treatment, the scores of the drug groups in each aspect point of PANSS were statistically significant (P<0.05).The differences between the pre-and post-test of the study group were named dl, and the differences between the pre-and post-test of the control group were named d2. The results of independent t-test with dl and d2showed that PANSS positive score and PANSS total score have no significant difference(P>0.05), while the difference between the negative scores and general pathology score are distinct(P<0.05).3. Pre and post treatment, the scores of the SES, SDS, FNES, SAD had shown that the conditions of the patients have significantly improved (P<0.05). Among all the test results, the score of self-esteem after the intervention had raised obviously than before. The scores of SDS, FNES, SAD also had markedly reduced compared to the previous.The scores at social support, subjective support, and support utilization were higher than those before the intervention, but objective support displayed no significant. each aspect point of the SQLS had markedly reduced compared to the previous.the scores of the drug groups in psychological scale and each aspect point of the SQLS has no statistical significance(P>0.05).The results of independent t-test with d1and d2showed that the scores of SES, FNES, SAD and SDS were significantly improved(P<0.05). The subjective support, the utilization of support and the total score in social support scale were rapidly promoted, while the objective support showed no markedly improvement. each aspect point of the SQLS had markedly reduced compared to the drug groups.Conclusion:1. Self-confidence training is effective in improving negative symptoms and general pathology of rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia.The effects of Self-confidence training on improving the positive symptoms of rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia are not obvious.2. Self-confidence training can effectively raise the level of self-esteem of rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia. It also show its significant improvement on depression, social distress and social avoidance, fear of negative evaluation.3. Self-confidence training can significantly enhance the quality of patients'life, may be attributed with the self-confidence training can raise the level of self-esteem,correct unreasonable cognitive, eliminate the social distress and depression mood, reduce the negative emotions and the negative life events.
