Study On The Quality Of Life And Its Influencing Factors Of Family Caregivers In Schizophrenia

Objective:To explore the status quo and influencing factors of the quality of life of schizophrenia family caregivers,and to provide a scientific basis for improving the quality of life of family caregivers.Methods:The "social function screening scale" was used to evaluate the social function of patients with schizophrenia.The "Care burden scale","the Mos 36-item short from health survey,SF-36","Symptom Checklist 90,SCL-90","Family care questionnaire" and "Social support scale" were used to investigate the status quo of the quality of life of family caregivers.A pair of half-structured interviews were conducted with mental health workers using a self-designed "questionnaire for reducing the care burden of family caregivers for schizophrenics".Results:The results of 201 cases of family caregivers' care burden scale showed that the personal burden score was 19.52±9.46,the role burden score was 9.75±5.63,and the total care burden was 37.38±17.69.As measured by the sf-36 quality of life scale,the score of Physical Component Summary(PCS)was 50.96±23.64,Mental Component Summary(MCS)was54.77±21.88,and the scores of sf-36 dimensions of family caregivers were statistically significant compared with the norm(P<0.05).Schizophrenia family caregivers psychological self rating scale to 149.07±33.95,Compared with the norm,the total score of scl-90 and scores of somatization,obsessiveness,depression and anxiety dimensions of the family caregivers were statistically significant(P<0.05).Interviews with mental health workers show that the care burden of family caregivers is mainly manifested in heavy economic burden,severe psychological stress,physiological decline and social function impairment.It turns out that the social function of the patient,the relationship between the caregiver and the patient,the family care index and the family care index and social support is a factor in the burden of care of the family caregiver.The age of the family caregivers,the education level of the caregivers and the relationship with the patients are the influencing factors of the score of physical health dimension.The dietary status of patients,the relationship between caregivers and patients,and the average annual family income were the influencing factors for thecomprehensive scores of psychological dimensions.The age of the family caregivers and the family care index are the influencing factors of the mental health of the family caregivers.Conclusions : The family caregivers with schizophrenia have heavy burden of care,which is manifested as low quality of life and poor mental health.The main factors affecting the quality of life of schizophrenic caregivers are the social function of the patient,the relationship between the caregiver and the patient,the average annual income of the family,the family care index of the family caregiver and the social support.It is suggested to strengthen the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia and improve their social functions,and to improve the family care index and social support level of family caregivers,so as to reduce the care burden of caregivers and improve their quality of life.
