There exists serious unreasonable fertilization in the cultivation of TCMs.When it comes to choose the suitalbe fertilizer for TCMs,farmers always followblindly,they usually take the experience and habit in corp cultivation into TCMs planting directly.As the biggest input of TCM cultivation,fertilizer is vital for both the quantity and quality of TCM.So there is a necessity for the research on TCM fertilization.In terms of TCM planting,the use of plant growth regulators,which is widely used in agriculture,is controversial.And the use of micronutrient fertilizer has been too long neglected.Accordingly,on the basis of answering these two questions,our research mainly did the following two aspects.First,we chose uniconazole as the example of plant growth regulators,and carried out pot-planting experiment and field experiment at the same time to investigate the effect uniconazole produced on the growth and quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza plants.This would lay a basis foundation on the use of PGR in TCM cultivation.Second,we take the advantage of previous researchers' conclusions and results in the use of major and trace elements in S.miltiorrhiza plants,and designed 17 formulas consisted of both major and trace elements.Then we take a screen of these formulas through field experiment and take both field experiment and individual experiment for the screen of the suitable concentrations for the optimal fomula.We hope the result from this aspect will help the manufacture of special fertilizer for S.miltiorrhiza plants.The results of the research are summarized as below:1.Uniconazole exist significant effect in constraining the growth of aboveground parts of S.miltiorrhiza plants and promoting the growth of belowground.After observing the growth of S.miltiorrhiza plants dynamically,we discovered that the overground parts of the plants supplied with uniconazole had been controlled effectively.Through the whole growing season,the morphology of Salvia miltiorrhizae plant hardly changed.This has avoided the lodging phenomenon caused by the vigorous growth of the overground parts effectively.Meanwhile,the source-sink balance of S.miltiorrhiza plants had been broken after the treatment of uniconazole.The biomass of leaves,stems,flowers and fruit had been largely reduced,while the biomass distributed to root had been raised.Pot-planting experiment and field experiment both indicatied 240 mg·L-1 uniconazole had the best effect in increasing production.The field experiment also showed that uniconazole supplied at vigorous growing period was better than full-bloom stage.2.Uniconazole exist little effect on the quality of S.miltiorrhiza radix et rhizoma.HPLC fingerprint was used as the primary index to evaluate quality of S.miltiorrhiza radix et rhizoma.In our experiment,we discovered that the resembles between uniconzole treatments and CK treatment was very high,which indicated uniconazole had little impact on the quality of S.miltiorrhizae radix et rhizome.The assaying of active ingredients from S.miltiorrhiza samples showed that with the increase of uniconazole concentration,the content of water-soluble ingrentients increased first and decreased later,however the content of fat-soluble ingrentients decreased continusly.The content of tanshinone ? A from 120 and 240 mg·L-1 uniconazole treatment was slightly lower than the standard in Chinese pharmacopoeia.3.Zhuang Genling may influence the growth and quality of S.miltiorrhiza and it is not suitable for S.miltiorrhiza cultivation.In our experiment,S.miltiorrhiza plants supplied with ZGL were observed with a seriy of abnormal phenomena.In their whole growth period,the plant hardly bloom,the aerial part was surpressed at first and shooted up suddenly,the stem base was contracted sharply,and interxylary cork emerged in the root section.HPLC detection result showed that the content of liposoluble constituent tanshinone II a and cryptotanshinone increased particularly.All these phenomenon indicated that ZGL is not suitable for S.miltiorrhiza cultivation.4.No.2 self-made micronutrient fertilizer exist significant and stable effect in promoting production.Two years' experiment from field and individual experiment both showed the significant effect of No.2 self-made micronutrient fertilizer in promoting production.HPLC fingerprint had also indicated the optical fertilizer had little effect on the quality of S.miltiorrhizae radix et rhizome.This result will lay a solid foundation for the manufacture of special fertilizer.In this paper,there are two characteristics and innovations:(1)Pot-planting experiment and field experiment are carried out at the same time,and the growth index and physiological index of S.miltiorrhiza plants are monitored dynamically,both these studied the effect of uniconazole systematically.(2)We took full advantage of previous investigator's conclusions to design fertilizer formula consisted of both major and trace elements.And the fertilizer effciency experiment lasted for almost two years,which illustratiated the efficacy of self-made micronutrient fertilizer persuasively.
