Research On Air Purifiers Oriented To The Needs Of College Students

This paper focuses on the college students and studies how the factors like college students' behavioral needs,emotional needs and indoor space of dormitories influence the design of air purifiers through subdividing the students ' detailed consumption demands.Through subdividing the factor of circumstance in students' dormitories,to conclude the objective design demands from dormitories ' inside air quality index.Through measuring the dormitories' indoor dimension,to conclude the limitations and disadvantages of designs about mini air purifiers.Through categorizing the college students,to confirm the final function of products.Basing on the Theory of Needs from Freud,Maslow,Herzberg,to define the layers and characters of customers' demands.Through Theory of Consumer Behaviors to find out the ways of user-study and content.Through the investigating of Rest Area,Learning Area,Stock Area in students 'dormitories,to clarify the feasibility of air purifiers' use in dormitories' space.Finally to summarize and achieve the common demands and special demands of students,on which to well start the Dormitory-use Air Purifier Design Project technically,man-basically,culturally,commercially and artistically.In the specific research process,the existing functions of the air purifier products are firstly established through literature discussion,and secondly through questionnaires and user Interview method to obtain the demand elements of college students ' air purifiers,and calculate the proportion of demand weights based on the user demand hierarchy analysis method.Then,the design criteria of air purifiers are then categorized into design research principles such as shape,aesthetics,style,structure,and usability,which establishes the design strategy and method for the air purifier product from the perspective of systematic design of human,machine,and environment.Finally,the design of air purifiers that meet the practical,aesthetic,emotional,and personal needs of college students,providing them with air purifiers suitable for use in dormitory environments and creating healthy and comfortable dormitory environments.
