Research On The Improvement Of International Engineering Logistics Management

International engineering logistics is a special form of logistics.Compared with conventional logistics,it has more "engineering" properties,with features of high risk,strong timeliness and one time operation.With the development of specialization in the field of engineering construction and the division of work,most engineering companies preferred to outsource the logistics of engineering projects to 3PL.The international engineering logistics industry is also undergoing a process of development from specialization to integration.Large-scale international engineering projects are constantly emerging,and the international engineering logistics market is advancing.How to enter the international market,select the appropriate management mode,integrate logistics resources,and provide high-quality,low-cost international logistics services for various engineering enterprises is a topic worthy of research in the logistics industry.This paper analyzes the characteristics of international engineering projects and their logistics business.Combined with the supply chain and project management theory,the third-party engineering logistics enterprises should be proposed to improve management from the following four aspects:First,choose the suitable logistics management model for the project.Second,strengthen the project logistics planning.Third,improve the integration and control of logistics resources.Fourth,systematize project logistics risk management.Standing in the perspective of 3PL,this paper starts with the characteristics of engineering logistics business,combines the excellent international engineering logistics project case,studies the management improvement of engineering logistics business,and made several proposal of improvement.It is believed that the research in this field will be continuously deepened and improved in the academic and industry's continuous attention and efforts.
