At the beginning of the21st Century, International engineering project shifts from simple to systematic and information-oriented. EPC projects become more popular among Owners due to its advantages in budget and schedule control, dispute solving and etc. Chinese domestic markets witness fast growth of EPC projects as well. Therefore, to introduce international mature EPC management ideology and experience to domestic EPC Contractor is critical and practically important.The objective of this thesis is to illustrate how EPC Contractor can effectively coordinate Engineering, Procurement and Construction during project execution, and how to keep the project team effective communication and team creation so as to enhance the EPC project management ability of Chinese EPC Contractors.Based on the current study status of EPC project management module and relevant theory, this thesis analyses the international EPC project model and control elements in EPC project execution which include quality, cost, schedule, HSE, communication and project team. This thesis chooses Fluor’s Indonesia Sugar Factory Project as a study case, summarizes the creative project management methods and procedure implemented in this project, including network structure, value engineering, critical path method, earned value technique and its successful execution result and experience. By comparison with Chinese engineering Contractor’s project management, figure out existing problems and come up with suggestions.
