With the rapid development of social economy and science and technology,the overall safety of civil aviation has been greatly improved.As an important part of civil aviation safety,cabin safety is of great significance for promoting the healthy development of the civil aviation industry.The application of various advanced technical equipment has greatly decreased the possibility of major safety accidents in the cabin,but there are still potential risk factors such as irregular operation,cabin turbulence,excessive service focus and neglect of safety,which threatening the overall safety of the cabin.As the frontline staff of cabin safety and service work,the flight attendants are mainly responsible for maintaining cabin safety and ensuring the safety of passengers' lives and property.Then,they provide detailed services for passengers.Therefore,paying attention to the safety performance of flight attendants has a far-reaching impact on shaping the positive image of the civil aviation industry,improving the safety of cabins,and promoting the rapid and stable development of the civil aviation industry.However,most of the researches on flight attendants domestic and overseas focus on their service skills,service awareness,service performance,etc.,and there are few studies involving their safety performance.In order to make up for this research flaw,this paper takes the safety performance of flight attendants as the research theme,aiming to build a safety performance evaluation system for flight attendants.In addition,aviation safety has always been the core subject of aviation research.Previous studies have confirmed the predictive effect of personality traits and social cognitive variables on pilot safety behavior,or combine them to explore their specific influencing mechanism of the pilots' safety behavior.However,there is few literatures on the study of flight attendants as direct subjects.Therefore,this paper takes flight attendants as the direct research objects,explores the impact of proactive personality and safety attitude on safety performance,and combines the two to explore their impact mechanism on safety performance.Previous studies have found that organizational climate as an important organizational variable will also have an important impact on employees' work behavior.As a special organizational climate,the safety climate should also have an impact on the safety performance of employees.Therefore,this paper incorporates the safety climate as a variable to explore its specific impact on the relationship between proactive personality and flight attendants' safety performance.This study conducted three studies through literature review,implementation of questionnaires,data analysis,and obtained the following results:In study 1,through the literature review and related theoretical basis,safety compliance,safety participation and mindful safety practice are taken as the main components of flight attendants' safety performance,and then the safety performance theory model is constructed.Finally,the flight attendant safety performance scale is formed.After statistical analysis,the scale shows good reliability and validity.On the basis of Study 1,Study 2 takes the safety performance as a dependent variable.From an individual perspective,we explore the impact of proactive personality on the safety performance of flight attendants,and incorporate safety attitude into the study to explore its role in the relationship between proactive personality and safety performance.The results show that a proactive personality has a positive impact on safety attitude,safety attitude has a positive predictive effect on safety performance,and safety attitude plays a mediation role between proactive personality and safety performance.In Study 3,the safety performance of flight attendants was also used as a dependent variable.From an organizational perspective,we explore the effect of safety climate on the relationship between proactive personality and safety performance.It is found that the safety climate moderates the relationship between proactive personality and the safety performance.This study has carried out in-depth research on flight attendants through three studies,constructed a safety performance evaluation system for flight attendants,and formed a scientific and effective evaluation tool,which is of great significance for broadening relevant research in the field of aviation safety.Meanwhile,this study reveals the influence and internal mechanism of proactive personality,safety attitude and safety climate on the safety performance of flight attendants,enriching the existing research and providing new research ideas for future research.Finally,the results of this study can provide suggestions for better selection and training of flight attendants,thus providing advise for improving their safety performance,which has certain practical significance.
