An Analysis Of The Causes Of China's Environmental Pollution-type Neighbor Avoidance Conflict In The New Era

This paper takes Environmental pollution type nimby conflict in the new era as the research object,and focuses on the causes of Environmental pollution type nimby conflict in the new era.Through the application of the theory of socialist contradiction,the theory of human nature hypothesis and maslow’s hierarchy of needs,this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis and interpretation of the causes of the nimby conflict threatened by environmental pollution in the new era from three aspects,namely,the level of macro social development,the level of the demand of the middle group and the level of micro personal motivation.Through case study,this paper uses the methods of qualitative comparative analysis and questionnaire survey to verify the effectiveness of theoretical analysis and enhance the persuasive power of theoretical analysis.This paper believes that the environmental pollution nimby conflict in the new era has three main causes: from the macro level,the contradiction between social development and people’s needs is the fundamental cause.From the perspective of groups,the difference between the improvement of residents’ demand level and reality satisfaction in the new era leads to the sense of relative deprivation,which in turn leads to the nimby complex,and the agglomeration of the nimby complex eventually leads to the outbreak of nimby conflicts caused by environmental pollution.From the perspective of individuals,their economic and social motivations are the main motivations that lead individuals to participate in environmental pollution nimby conflicts.
