Research On The Traditional Knowledge Related To The Biodiversity Of The Daur Nationality

China is one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world.Many ethnic minorities in China have created and accumulated rich traditional knowledge in the course of thousands of years of production and life.These traditional knowledge come from local communities,especially ethnic minority areas.It reflects traditional production and lifestyle and is closely related to biodiversity and sustainable use of biological resources.However,due to social and economic development,the infiltration of foreign cultures,and the destruction of ecological environment,a large amount of traditional knowledge is threatened with loss.It is urgent to conduct systematic investigation and research and take protective measures.The Daur people lived in the southern part of the Xing'an Mountains and the Nenjiang River Basin.Based on rich and diverse natural resources,they formed a unique farming-based culture and created rich biodiversity-related traditional knowledge in their long-term agricultural production practices.The protection and promotion of the application of the traditional knowledge is of great significance to the local socio-economic sustainable development and the development of national cultural undertakings.This study systematically investigated,collated and catalogued traditional knowledge about the biodiversity of the Daur community through literature surveys,field surveys,structural and semi-structured interviews,and interviews with key individuals.Through typical case analysis,the status quo,threat factors and development trends of the traditional knowledge of the Daur people is deeply studied.The results of this study:1 Based on the literature survey and field research,a total of 497 traditional knowledge entries were compiled.Among them,236 were related to traditional agricultural genetic resources,accounting for 47.48%;81 were related to traditional medicine,accounting for 16.30%;91 were related to traditional techniques related to sustainable use of biological resources and production and lifestyle.,accounting for 18.31%;74 items related to traditional cultural practices related to biodiversity,accounting for 14.89%;15 items related to traditional biogeographical products,accounting for 3.02%.2.Based on the survey compilation,the characteristics of the traditional knowledge of the Daur people are analyzed:1)the generation of traditional knowledge is highly correlated with the climate environment and the endowment of local biological resources;2)the agricultural production and lifestyle that is in harmony with nature is The main source of the generation and development of traditional knowledge;the geographical isolation caused by ethnic migration makes the generation and inheritance of traditional knowledge have unique and obvious regional differences;3)traditional knowledge is closely related to national cultural customs,fully reflecting the characteristics of the national culture and Connotation.3.The results of the questionnaire survey show that the traditional knowledge that is compatible with economic development has been well applied,and the preservation situation is better.However,the traditional knowledge that is incompatible with the development of modern society is less utilized,and many other have the promotion value and application.Traditional knowledge of potential remains to be tapped;traditional knowledge protection tends to be formalism and local community participation is low.Overall,the protection and inheritance of the traditional knowledge of the Daur people is facing a grim situation.4.The research results also show that the inheritance and development constraints of the traditional knowledge of the Daur people are mainly due to the limitations of the methods and conditions for the inheritance of the traditional knowledge of the Daur people.The local people's lack of understanding of the excellent traditional knowledge of the nation is an internal factor,and the legal protection is insufficient.Foreign cultural influences and reductions in biological resources are external factors.Further propose countermeasures to protect traditional knowledge and promote its sustainable use,including:establishing and implementing a system for access and benefit sharing of genetic resources and related traditional knowledge;strengthening the mining and promotion of traditional knowledge economic value;and tapping traditional knowledge through research The value of the promotion of traditional knowledge protection awareness and participation.
