The Game And Coordination Of Major Powers In Climate Change Issues

The paper concentrated on the issue of climate change,which has become one of the topics of common concern of all countries around the world.This paper focuses on the game and coordination of the great powers in climate change.Today,the issue of climate change is not a simple problem of natural science,buta complex one that is a reflection of the economic development of countries involved.Meanwhile,it is also a reflection of national strategy and the international political and economic stage of a country.The difference of political attitude of states is the main cause of the complexity of environmental problems.In the course of negotiations,the political tendency of climate change is becoming more and more obvious,and thus makes it more complex.The game between great powers is the main cause of the complexity of the issue.Focusing on the game in the field of climate change can make it more accurately for us to grasp the essence of the problem.There is no environmental problem which can be solved without any political proceedings.States have started negotiations about climate change around the United Nations Framework Conventionsince 1990 s,in order to seek a way out for the governance of climate change.Since then,the state has become the most important behavior in this field,and the cooperation between states has become the main way to solve this problem.It is a long process where cooperation and confrontation,consensus and conflict of states exist at the same time.Basing on the previous analysis,this paper argues that in the field of climate change,with the consensus gradually increased,the cooperation process will be gradually promoted;yet this does not represent national interests can be eliminated or suppressed in a short period of time.The key to promoting the process of climate change governance is to ease the contradiction and conflict between states,and to promote mutual understanding and cooperation among them.The focus of international cooperation is not only to promote the coordination and demonstration of great powers,but also to create a more reasonable mechanism to ease the conflict of interest between developing countries and developed countries.The academic research of climate change research originated in natural science.As to the field of social science,climate change has experienced from the environmental history research to study ethics to politics,economics,sociology and other interdisciplinary research,through which the achievements are enriched.In this paper,the mainstream IR theory and global governance theory are combined to make a new interpretation of the objective facts in this field.The key concept in the theory of international relations,such as national interests and great powersare introduced to the research of the problem of climate change.Only in this way,can we explain the changes of national policy in this fieldbetter.The conflict between public goods and national interests,the tension between developed countries and developing countries,economic barriers and even ideological differences will lead to the difficulty of international cooperation in this field.In view of this,this paper argues that the global governance theory to a certain extent exaggerates the role of social forces in the global context.The treatment of global climate governance should still be focused on the construction of a more stable and reasonable international mechanism,which is also an important way to promote international cooperation in this field.
