Research On Control Method Of WIP In The Discrete Manufacturing Enterprises Workshop

Too much work-in-process(WIP)existed in most workshop of discrete manufacturing enterprises.Excess WIP existing not only cause a large backlog of funds,a large number of occupied sites,prolonged production cycle,the delivery speed and a series of other issues,but also cover up many invisible problems such as supply chain,production planning,production quality and design,eventually resulting in an increase in manufacturing costs and a decrease in competitiveness.Enterprises must have a set of detailed control standards,improved and control methods in order to effectively control the number of WIP.This thesis bases on the research about the workshop WIP of discrete manufacturing enterprises with the fundamental thesis of Little's Law.In this paper,the method of mathematical induction and function relation is applied to study the standard of accounting model for the workshop of Discrete Manufacturing Enterprises while Flexsim is used to simulate and verify the accuracy of the model.As the F company for example,the model is simplified,instrumentally formed in the product standard accounting form according to actual production factor characteristics of the workshop,this model is applied to the various factories of F company different areas which has become the source of data support for products control.In addition,summarizes the various factors that affect the quantity of products in the workshop and formulates the corresponding improvement methods with the parameter relationships and actual production elements in the product standard calculation model,then introduces the application examples of each improvement method.Last,we designed a set of methods of WIP control in the case of the shell machinery processing workshop of F company,which provided a reference for the production management of the products.
