Research On The ERP Application In Discrete Manufacturing

MRPII/ERP system has been promoted in China for more than ten years,but the success rate of ERP project implementation is not high. The author has worked in the field of information technology for many years.In the course of my work, I find that many business management know ERP knowledge still at the initial stage of conceptual understanding.They do not have a deep understanding of the substantive role of the ERP. The author believes that the main reason for the above-mentioned problems is there have been problems of emphasis on theory, light practice in the process of the ERP application and popularization.Therefore, based on the research background, the author select the issue " Research on the ERP application in Discrete Manufacturing".The purpose of the thesis is to provide a well-established " variety of applications collection in the area of Enterprise Information " for the management of the enterprise, especially SME to understand, select and apply ERP products in discrete manufacturing.Also, the visualization interfaces of information products have been provided in order to compensate for the situation that there are too few practical products in the current application of information technology knowledge. In this respect, The thesis is for the people who engage in educating, disseminating or promoting products application in the field of information.The thesis refers to many cases of my past clients.This thesis consists of five parts.First, the author has expounded the practical value and significance of discrete manufacturing ERP System Application research for the status quo of emphasis on theory, light practice in the domestic research.the discrete manufacturing ERP application status and problems have been analyzed in the chapter II. In the chapter of Discrete Manufacturing ERP applications Requirements Analysis, the overall demand for Discrete Manufacturing has been analysed first,then the specific requirements analysis has been carried out for each ERP functional module.Chapter IV is the focus of the thesis, focusing on discrete manufacturing ERP applications. In order to detail, the applications are with a large number of flow charts and the software interface.Chapter V is the final chapter of the thesis,the author has summarized the thesis and has given a prospect of the research, the limitations of current research and the further work of discrete manufacturing ERP system application. There are two innovations in the thesis, as follows:The first, this thesis focuses on ERP application, using the theoretical research and empirical analysis of combination, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of combination, case studies and other research methods. Throughout the research, a lot of actual cases have been adopted. The author always insist on the principle of ERP system applications and discrete manufacturing combined and trys to reflect the practical, realistic, applied of the thesis.The second, in order to detail discrete manufacturing ERP system application,the thesis has introduced a large number of ERP application flow charts and the software interfaces.The author has provided many practical recommendations for the common requirements of various applications and has solved the problems of various parts of ERP which users often concerned about.
