In recent years,small and micro businesses have developed into an important part of China economy with strong endorsement of the government.However,as the Chinese economy has entered the “New Normal”,the majority of enterprises,including small and micro businesses,have no choice but to transform and upgrade if they want to survive.To some small and micro businesses engaged in traditional industries,“Transformation” means diversified business development while “upgrade”means modern enterprise management model should be established.As the central part of modern human resources management,performance management plays a vital role.At present,it should be realized that many small and micro businesses come to a premature end because their leaders pay less attention to performance management,let alone establish performance management system which can help the enterprises successfully transform.First of all,this article adopts literature research method to combs and summarizes the relevant theories,then we find that Key Performance Index(KPI)is more applicable to small and micro businesses in our country compared to other methods.By using case analysis method,chapter three to chapter five takes HJ company which is in transition as a research case,focusing on their sales staff.Through analyzing its developing situation by adopting questionnaire method,we find that some primal problems are exist in this company.First,the company management think little of performance management.Second,the original performance evaluation lacks systematicness and pertinence.Third,communication function and safeguard mechanism have not been established.In terms of these questions,this article treats the company sales staff as appraisal main body on the basis of the core concept of KPI and puts forward concept and solutions of remodeling the performance management system of HJ company sales staff.In the first place,we define the essential principleand target of remodeling performance management system.Secondly,for the sake of improving efficiency and reducing cost,we apply operational-indicator,ability-indicator and standard-indicator,including a number of two-stage and three-stage indicators,to rebuild the salesman personal performance evaluation system.Delphi Method is used as confirming the weight of relevant index.Thirdly,for accelerating the company transformation,a concept of building “business joint team” is presented to figure out the problem of low correlative degree between old and new business.Fourthly,we build individual and business joint team performance appraisal index system to stimulate salesmen to pitch new business.Finally,for it to work,in consideration of before-operation,in-operation and post-operation,we establish implementation guarantee mechanism for the newly-built performance management system.The sixth chapter summarizes the full text and puts forward possible directions for future research.This article not only looks at how to improve performance management of HJ company,but also has referential value for other same types of small and micro enterprises in transition to improve performance management level.
