China is the major political and trade-economic partner of Belarus in Asia.The modern history of the Belarus-China relations begins from January 20,1992 – the date of signing the Agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations.In terms of history the past 25 years constitute rather small period.However,during this period,due to the efforts of the leaders and people of the two countries the relations between Belarus and China have been able to rise up to the level of strategic partnership.Development of relations with China is foreign policy priority of the Republic of Belarus.The analysis of the results of trade and economic cooperation over the past period can become a basis for making adjustments to the strategy and tactics of further development of relations between Belarus and China.This research describes the main trading partners of Belarus by collecting statistical information and provides a description of the foreign trade turnover of Belarus,its commodity structure.Also it describes foreign trade turnover of China,its trade distribution and main trading partners.Gravity trade model is used in the research,which showed good results in the study of the trade flows between countries.With the help of this model the influence of factors on the Belarussian exports and imports was assessed,using gravity model of trade separately for export and import trade flows.Ordinary Least Squares method is used in the research to give a comprehensive scientific analysis of the trade between Belarus and China and to examine the factors affecting it by analyzing the current state of the Belarussian and Chinese import and export,their geographical and commodity distribution.For the purpose of forming grounded expectations,the assessment of potential and prospects of the Belarussian-Chinese investment cooperation is in demand.The thesis provides the analysis of credit,technological and financial channels of Belarus and China's investment interaction. |
