Technological Capital And Firm Performance

"13th Five-Year" national science and technology innovation planning puts forward that innovation is the first driving force for development,science and technology bring along the continuous development of enterprises and countries.Domestic scholars study more about R&D and technological innovation,but few about technological capital.Technological capital is the special resource advantage influencing the enterprises sustainable development.With the reference of the studies at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the effect of technological capital on the enterprise.The study selects the IT listed companies in our country to examine the influence of technological capital on firm financial performance by using hierarchical regression analysis in the model of the efficiency coefficient of intellectual capital.It results that technological capital has an indirect impact on firm financial performance by influencing human capital,structural capital and capital employed.In eastern area,technological capital makes strong interaction on firm performance;but in western and central area this interaction is weak.As for the companies,we should attach importance to technological capital.With the enhancement of technological capital by improving human capital?structural capital and capital employed,firm financial performance would be improved.From the regional view,the government should put more resources on the firms in the western and central area.The government should encourage the firms in the western and central area to learn more technology and management skills on the eastern companies to boost the development in regional.
