With knowledge economy's era coming, the existed economic pattern will also change, the future economy will be a new pattern that the future economy will be one kind of knowledge intensity,the intelligence. It is based of continuous knowledge innovated, and take intelligence capital as the hallmark of new economy. In the new economic environment, intellectual capital will become an important means for value-added and create an important source of profit, it will be the catalyst for enterprises to grow, and it has also a power to make enterprises rapidly expanding.Based on this, I analysis the relation between intellectual capital and enterprise performance as the main line of my research. After studying the scholars' research on intellectual capita and enterprise performance at home and abroad, I develop a conceptual model involving intellectual capital and enterprise performance. I collect data of science and technology enterprise in Xi'an to test hypotheses of the relation between intellectual capital and enterprise performance. The main purpose is to understand the status that development of intellectual capital and business performance of the science and technology enterprises in Xi'an, to further discuss how to affect the enterprise performance by intellectual capital of the enterprises. I use EXCEL and SPSS15.0 carry on the statistical analysis, the main method has reliability and validity testing, factorial analysis, the correlation analysis, the regression analysis and the path analysis to exam the model. Through the empirical study and the theory discussion, this research mainly obtains the following conclusion:1.The result of reliability and validity testing indicated that the target establishment of intellectual capital and enterprise performance is reasonable. The results also shows that there are four dimensions of human capital, that is , employees' attitudes and capability, managers' capability, employees' stability and human capital investment. The structure capital involves five dimensions: organizational structure, enterprises culture, organization studies, innovation and research and business process. The relation capital contains three dimensions: customer-oriented, customer loyalty, the relations with partners.2. The three components of intellectual capital are interacting and interdependent. The human capital affects obviously to the structure capital and the relation capital. The structure capital affects obviously the relation capital.3. The three components of intellectual capital have the marked influence on the enterprise performances, and through the regression analysis indicated that the human capital, the structure capital and the relational capital differently influence on the enterprise performances. The relation capital affects the enterprise performance mostly intensely, next is the humancapital.Theoretical and practical implications of the research findings are discussed.
