As the wave of mergers and acquisitions sweeps the globe,more and more companies have chosen to expand the scale of the company,enhance corporate profits,and achieve strategic goals through mergers and acquisitions.Accurate and comprehensive evaluation of corporate M&A performance becomes necessary.At present,China's game industry is developing rapidly and has a vast market and good prospects for future development.M&A activities in the game industry are frequent,and powerful companies have even actively participated in cross-border mergers and acquisitions.This article selects game company Zeus-entertainment(Tianshen Entertainment)as the research case.In order to realize the company's development strategy,Zeus-entertainment has implemented large-scale mergers and acquisitions activities at home and abroad since 2015.Whether the M&A activities have improved the performance of Zeus-entertainment,promoted the growth and expansion of the company,and whether it achieved the strategic goals of the company is the problem that this article wants to solve through analysis.This article uses a combination of theoretical research method and case study method.Based on the theories of mergers and acquisitions and balanced scorecard theories,this paper introduces a balanced scorecard evaluation method and establish an evaluation system that meets the characteristics of Zeus-entertainment.From the financial dimension,internal process dimension,customer dimension and learning and growth dimension,combined with corporate strategy,this paper conducts an all-round and multi-angle analysis and evaluation of the performance of M&A activities implemented by Zeus-entertainment from 2015 to 2016.And This article analyzes the M&A performance of Zeus-entertainment to identify loopholes in M&A activities and business operations,prompt enterprises to adjust in time,and promote the realization of corporate strategic goals.This article studies the M&A activities of Zeus-entertainment from the perspective of balanced scorecard,evaluates the performance of Zeus-entertainment M&A activity from four dimensions,and integrates with the company's strategy to analyze whether the M&A activity has achieved the strategic goal of Zeus-entertainment.Through analysis,this article has reached the following conclusions in the field of mergers and acquisitions.A clearstrategic goal in M&A indicates the direction for successful M&A.Appropriate M&A target lays the foundation for successful M&A.Appropriate M&A method reduces risks for successful M&A.Effective M&A integration provides assurance for successful M&A.And from the conclusions,the paper got the enlightenment of improving the performance of M&A.In addition,this paper also put forward some suggestions on the application of Balanced Scorecard in M&A performance research.This article not only provides a comprehensive and effective strategic evaluation system for the performance evaluation of Zeus-entertainment Company,but also provides certain reference for the M&A activities of the game industry enterprises,and also enriches the application of the balanced scorecard theory and the case of M&A performance research in the entertainment industry.
